Honest review of KIIT ????

Admission were done KIITJEE entrance exam conducted by KIIT. Its form is free of cost. They have reservations for Sc/St and Girls. Here reservation means, you will get better branch if you come into the category but no compensation with the fee. You will also get good fee compensation if you perform well and come under top 10 in KIITJEE exam. Eligibility for this is 60% or above in your 12th and 10th.

My rank was less than what it should be to get CSE so i had to choose CS&SE. Till my batch had around 3500 students including all branches. But now they have 5000 or so. So i think teacher student ratio will be around 1:100 or something. Faculties are well educated but many are not well educated and they just try to act like they have good knowledge but they take reference from google for small things. As i said it depends on what faculty you get. Some are super good with the subjects they teach and some are not good enough. Worst part is their bad english. Most of them are form odisha and their english is not good enough for a professor. Terms exams are take twice a semester. And they are pretty easy to pass if you have studied well.

College has tie up from 2-3 companies so they'll get atleast one internship on resume. Rest they'll bring on the opportunity and students have to grab them with their skills. Good companies like VMware, and other good companies offer internship.

From 6th semester students become eligible for applying for internship, internship cum ppo and they start getting job offers from 7th semester. Good companies like amazon, hitachi, make my trip, vmware, atlassian, Deloitte and many more visited our campus. Companies generally offer consulatancy and SDE roles. Average package is 8.5LPA and highest till now is 74 LPA, and still placement is going on while i write this review. 70% of students are placed till now.

Fees is 1.75 lakh per semester and you'll only get scholarship if you score well in you KIITJEE entrance exam. You can take loan from bank. Our training and placement cell are very good with what they do, but its totally luck based it was difficult for students with good merit to get good jobs, were cheaters were able to bag good jobs easily. Good companies visit our campus, about 400+ companies. Lowest salary offered for our batche of 2023 was 3 LPA, average was 8.5 LPA.

There is only one fest every year for which you have to pay around 300 rupees. In comparison to other colleges our fest life is near to zero. And the kiitfest we have is very overrated. Libraries are very good here you can find books of interests and your favorite topic. Sports is lowkey supported on campus, only selected ones. And there are many grounds so you can play them by yourself if you want to. There are many groups in campus for extra curricular activities like dance, singing and charity work too. You'll find some club for your interest here for sure.

Hostels are worth every penny you give. Its meal is of best quality you can find in any hostel. Hostel fee ranges from 28k per semester to 1lakh per semester depending on the type of room you choose. Mess fee is 22.5k per semester.
