Remarks
Admission was purely on JEE Mains percentile basis, cut off for mechanical went 93 percentile approx. in 2021. It's increasing with each passing year. One can easily find the admission form and other details on LNMIIT's main website. No criteria for reservation only merit basis.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course as I didn't have any other options. The institute's placement stats are pretty decent as compared to many NIT's IIIT which I could or any other student with a 30-60k rank could get. It has a very good Coding atmosphere, one can develop their coding skill. Faculty is also well trained and mastered in their stream. Exams here are tough, one can not expect easy marking, average CGPA is less than in many institutes.
Internships Opportunities
Companies visit the college for an internship, take coding round, and interviews. During the recession period as well companies are visiting for internships, it's a big thing in itself, and in coming years these stats will go up. Students apply for campus internships as well in summer break after the 2nd and 3rd semesters. Some companies provide internships and then recruitment in 4th year, for that we have the 8th semester also known as SLI (semester-long Internship).
Placement Experience
After 3rd year. All stats could be found on the official website, of companies visited, offers made, Highest placements, Median placements, and average placements. CSE students get the highest of 43-45L and such. 97-98% of students get placed by the end of the placement drive. Some companies are Samsung/Adobe/ZS/BNY Mellon.
Fees and Financial Aid
There is a scholarship criterion that can be found on the official website, along with the fee structure. There are government scholarships too that can be applied for. One has to submit ~2.5L (semester).
Campus Life
A well-maintained library is constructed, where all types of books are available for reading as well as issuing. Lecture halls are big enough to accommodate 200 students at once, there are 10-12 as such. Seminars and sessions are held there as we lack an auditorium. There are decent sports facilities, one SAC includes 3 badminton courts, one squash room, and one dance room. Then the outside area has a volleyball court, lawn tennis court, basketball court, football ground, and a cricket ground. Campus life on normal days is not so good, we have a canteen area where one general Store, one stationary, one salon, one snacks corner, one ice cream corner, one laundry shop, and 2 restaurants are there. There are many clubs and societies one can be a part of and develop its personality. We have 3 fests cultural/technical/sports namely, Vivacity/Plinth/Desportivos.
Hostel Facilities
The hostels are decent and maintained. There is a day boarding option for students but the majority prefer staying in a hostel. A room contains a study table, beds, almirah, soft board, fan, and Duct depending on capacity like 3/2/1 seater. Nearly all can get a hostel there are no such criteria, and registration is done with fee payment. Mess is decent, and runs on the menu prepared by Mess Committee.
