Remarks

I had written the TS-EAMCET exam and scored 26k rank. I opted for this college in the counseling process through the TS-EAMCET counseling website. I went through all the further steps like seat verification, physically visiting the college, and fee payment. The charges for the counseling process are below 2000 rupees. I was eligible for the OBC category reservation while opting for the courses in the college. Overall the counseling process was smooth, without much hassle. There are two rounds of the counseling process where you are allotted seats in colleges along with a special round including spot allotment.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I opted ECE course as I am interested in the electrical field. I would like to apply my knowledge of electrics and electronics to pursue my career in both the software and hardware industry combined. There are enough faculty to teach every student. You can also consult your department heads for any doubt clearing as well. All the faculty are minimum post graduates and they follow a explain and teach approach. We have two mid-term exams and the final semester exam. I would say the semester exams are easy to attempt if backed by proper preparation in the mid term exams.

Placement Experience

4

Students can attend the placement process once they enter 3rd year. Our college is visited by many MNCs like Virtusa, E-Pam, and service-based companies like TCS, and Tech Mahindra along with Amazon, and Oracle. The highest in campus placement is 30lac rupees, Comvault hired 3 students for the above package. Almost all the students get placed in one or a company by the end of their course. I am working to crack placement coding exams and land a package of above 6lac per year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Currently the college has hiked the annual tuition fees to 150000 rupees. You would also be charged JNTU accreditation fees and common charges each year, which amount to about 6000 rupees. The college provides text books free of cost to SC, ST students in the first year. Also everyone can borrow course related text books fromt the library or any other reference material. I am currently recieving TS EPASS scholarship which is tuition fee reimbursement of 35,000 rupees. I am in my final year of college and I am actively participating in campus recruitment activities.

Campus Life

4.5

We have about four fests annually. Ciencia which is the art and tech fest is held in March. Then we have DJ Night which is held in the month of March. Traditional Day is held in February in which students get dressed in traditional attires. We have a very large cricket stadium, two volleyball courts, indoor table tennis courts and much more. There are more than 10,000 books in our college library. We have different clubs in the college relating to different art and interests. Cadenza is the college songs&music club. We have a photography&film studio club, Google Developers Summer Club for tech enthusiasts and coding geeks. Streetcause which organizes many street events like 5K run, Electro Night, etc.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

We are given spacious rooms with 4 members in a room. We are given a high-speed wifi connection, but we must bring our own routers. There are no washing machines provided, the dhobi charges about 7rupees per clothe. We have a varied menu throughout the week seving veg and non vegg meals. We are given snacks in the evening.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Placement cell is least active.. Few good companies like Infosys, amazon, TCS etc visited but the average package is of 1-2 LPA and only 25-30% of students whose all exams are cleared can sit in the placement cell. The highest package is of 8LPA. My plan is to move abroad for higher studies.. The students after completion of 6th sem can sit in placement cell

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
