Remarks
I applied through the college's website(kiit.ac.in). Each year, the website releases application forms for applicants. The minimum eligibility criteria for the B.Tech program was 75% in the class XII board exam and to clear the cutoff marks in the College's entrance exam, known as KIITEE(Kalinga Insititute of Industrial Technology Entrance Exam). The application form can be found on the college's website(kiit.ac.in), the fee slip will be provided during the consulting program, which happens on the college campus only after releasing the exam scorecard. All the application dates and related information can be found on the website itself. Coming to the details of reservation benefits, can be found on this link(https://kiitee.ac.in/reservation-of-seats) No, everything is fine.
Course Curriculum Overview
During my school days, I loved coding and working with hardware. So I decided in my school itself to do graduation in technical-related subjects. And apart from that, looking at the current scenario, this course gives us a lot of insight into the real-world working of things, from small circuit boards to massive dynamos in power stations. So I decided to take up this course. There used to be a class of 60 students, allocated to one professor/ faculty. So it's 1:60. Most of the faculties were qualified for their job. Most of them were either pursuing their doctoral from the same university or were guiding students for their thesis. The exams used to happen as per the schedule. The exams used to be of medium difficulty.
Internships Opportunities
VMware, Tata Digital, Autodesk, GE Healthcare, Informatica, Optum, Adobe, Nutanix, Yugabyte DB, Harness, Bobleai, Quinbay, etc. Mostly practical projects are assigned to get an in-depth knowledge of how real systems work.
Placement Experience
1During the 5th semester itself, companies start coming for hiring students as interns. So they become eligible during the 5th semester only. VMware, Nutanix, Autodesk, Tata Digital, JP Morgan, Amazon, Codenation, Dell, Novartis, Deloitte, Highradius, Adobe, GE Healthcare, Wipro, Cognizant, and the list goes on. The highest was offered by Yugabyte DB, which was 56 LPA for the role of SDE. The average is around 8LPA. 100% placement.
Fees and Financial Aid
The cost to study is on the higher end. After all, it's a private university, so the cost is quite high here. Coming to the hike policy, that is quite decent as well. The fee structure consisted of tuition fees, registration fees for each semester, and one-time admission fees. There were few scholarships for students who did extremely well in the KIITEE exam, and others for those who were the top scorers during the semester exams. The campus is pretty good. The stipend ranged from 20000 a month to 80000 a month.
Campus Life
It organizes an annual fest known as KIIT Fest, which is usually a 3 to a 4-day event. Celebrities do come and perform live, there are tech events, fashion shows, and cultural programs in which the students can take part. They have a huge 5-storey building where there is a library. One can find all the books of their liking. They also do have a facility for e-books as well. From an infrastructure point of view, KIIT has recently developed a lot as far as sports are concerned. Hi, tech gymnasium, swimming pool, tennis court, volleyball court, badminton court, football field. Currently, KIIT University has 20+ societies and you can find a large diversity in them.
Hostel Facilities
Well, there are 4 kinds of rooms.. 3bed Ac, 2bed Ac, 3bed non-AC, 2bed Non-ac. Four sockets for each student hence charging several devices won't be an issue. The food is awesome. During the consultation process, one can register for hostel services.
