Hotel management in Panjab University

My admission was done online due to pandemic guidelines. Anyone can apply for this course they just have to apply for an entrance test known as PUTHAT by qualifying for this test anyone can get admission to the hotel management course at Panjab university's main campus. The application can be filled out online on their main website all the details are there on the main website. Admission process is simple you will be notified through mail when is the exam or any other details you can also call the helpline number available on the internet to clear any other query

From the start, I had a passion for traveling and working together so this course offers me different jobs in different countries so I can wander and earn at the same time. The faculty is very good, and cooperative they are always there to help! In my batch, there are 57 students so the faculty gives attention to everyone. Teachers have vast experience in their field as some have done jobs for 10 years in that same field they are teaching so you not only get bookish knowledge but also practical experience with it. Exams are always on time and it is not at all tough to pass it's just some basic knowledge about your course and a little bit of studying this can pass you easily.

We are given internship in hotels like the Mohali club, JW Marriott, Novotel, and some were also placed in The Taj. Stipend was not more than 2000 but we were able to earn more through tips some were able to earn 10 to 12 per month with tips and stipend. The tasks are simple in internship we just have to listen to our supervisors and sometimes handle all the banquets operations like stocking liquor and all.

From 8-semester students become eligible for campus placements. We are visited by different companies like monte Carlo, JW Marriott, Hayat, etc. I plan to go abroad for a job because many opportunities are waiting for me.

For some time fees can not be hiked because it was done recently. As you all know this is a practical course there are no. of machines in the department, so that we can learn properly in 3rd year and my fees now are 37000. There is compensation and even scholarships are also offered to students all these notifications come to the notice board on the website.

There are so many fests that are held here like freshers, events on international chef day, and many other workshops and events. There are two libraries we can go one is the department library and one is the A.C. Joshi library which is present on campus. Our department supports sports and extracurricular activities attendance is given to such students who are playing from the university and the campus has very big grounds for the practice. There are different pages on Instagram like UIHTM, and pu updates all these are run by students so for queries you can also talk to them.
