Remarks

Foodies can join here. Don't lose 4 years of your life by enrolling yourself in this college. No advanced education, no extra-curricular, high gender discrimination, increased fear for opposite gender, poor communication and managerial skill. All will be the outcome if you join here. Consult any alumni before joining. 40292

Entrance Preview

I have scored 195 cut off in my 12th exam. Inspite of having good marks and chance of getting into other good colleges, the huge buzz and popularity among parents for this college pushed me into it.

Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

The course curriculum that I studied is very poor but now the curriculum has been revised by Anna University which I can't comment. The curriculum that I studied is very old and we didn't have a chance to learn new concepts. The faculty will stick completely to that curriculum and you would not be allowed to learn something out of box.

Internships Opportunities

No. They neither provided internship nor encourage us to join internship outside. Even if they decide to do such things then it would be for students above 8.5 cgpa.

Placement Experience

3.5

Most of my friends have been placed. I got placed in Wipro and Infosys. 2,50,000-5,00,000 per annum were the package. Wipro, CTS, Infosys, IBM, MindTree, etc. The placement is predominantly for IT companies and it doesn't provide enough placement for other departments. Placement for other departments would be hardly for 30-40 members/600 students.

College Events

0.5

In my four years of college life I had only one day for an event and that too in my first year. This college has never conducted any event with full heart. Even the symposium that this college conducts would be on Saturday and even that would be held just for 4 hours at max. We won't get permission to a symposium if girls were allowed as there exist a huge descrimination.

Fee Structure And Facilities

I paid 1,00,000 as my tution fees inspite of coming through counselling. Heard that fees have been increased to many folds. They don't mind whether you come from counselling or not, All you need is to pay 1Lakh amount. They provide good food and transport but both are compulsory. 64000 - tution fees 32000 - Transport + food 5000 - Miscellaneous.

Fees and Financial Aid

No I am not aware of the scholarship or loan facility provided by the college as I have paid the entire fees from hand.

Campus Life

3.5

Join and be a slave. Don't think of extracurricular activities. Gender Discrimination: There is huge discrimination between boys and girls. You are not allowed to talk to an opposite gender of yours. If management finds such activities then there is a possibility of you being chucked out or your parents would be reported on it. In fact they gave separate building for boys and girls in computer science department. We dont have common break, lunch or even bus. Extra-curricular Activities:- Erase the word extracurricular activities from your mind if you wished to join this college. Participation is allowed only for sports quota students. The information regarding the sports and other activities in advertisements and others were all a lie I myself a victim of it.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel facilities are very good. Except for the fact that students can't use phones. It would be highly difficult for students of hostel if you are not interested in sports. There is huge restriction in hostel. Food have always been the best part in Panimalar. The only good opinion of mine is food.

Alumni/Alumna

There is no proper alumni network for this college as most of the students would always regret joining here after finishing this college. I didnt not have any interaction with the college until now except for some mails regarding placement information.

Exam Structure

Exams are severe. There is weekly exam or test in first hour of each day. Those who have not scored enough marks in cycle test have been asked to stay coaching class. All they wanted is high pass percentage in Anna University exam rather than providing good opportunity to learn.

Admission

I got into this college through Anna University counselling. The administration is effective only in activities to suppress the students with goondas termed as bus drivers. The administration doesn't think innovative in adapting new technologies but they are always innovative to treat and practice students how to be slaves.

Faculty

0.5

The teachers as far as Computer Science is of concerned is very poor. We have reported this many times to the administration but it has never been acted upon. Reviews from students would be collected but the comment from management would be only regarding the food but not about the students' problems.

The curriculum is relevant and provides a good balance of theoretical knowledge and practical learning. It prepares students for real-world applications, but more industry projects, practical sessions, and updated teaching methods would help. Exams are generally well-spaced and moderately difficult.

Placement Experience:

Placements are generally decent, with students becoming eligible from the final year. Several companies visit for recruitment, offering roles in technical and non-technical fields. Packages vary by company, and placement opportunities depend on skills and performance. Many students secure jobs, while others pursue higher studies or competitive exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it covers important subjects related to computer science, programming, databases, networking, and emerging technologies. The combination of theoretical knowledge and practical subjects influenced my decision to choose this course. The curriculum provides a good foundation in technical concepts and programming. However, more practical projects, industry-based training, internships, and real-world applications would help students become better prepared for careers and further studies.
