Remarks
My branch is Computer Science & Engineering and in our branch, the eligibility is 60% in PCM. I am an international student from Nepal so I don't have to sit any entrance exam but have to satisfy the eligibility criteria, Indian students have to sit an entrance exam named KIITEE and have to be eligible for that to take admission and to avail of a scholarship grant from the university. Applications are open from December till January and form fees are free.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose CSE because I am curious about how the digital world works, like how my computer works and all that. That's why I chose CSE. In my section, there are almost 70 students and the classes are big enough to fit them comfortably. In laboratory sessions, we have 3 lab teachers teaching the entire class and 1 for each theory class. Each teacher is fully qualified in their respective fields, everyone has at least a Master's degree and many have done a doctorate in different fields. We have to give a mid-term and an end-term examination twice a year which is quite tough. One can pass if studied properly.
Internships Opportunities
Students start getting internship opportunities in the 5th semester of their college. Companies like Amazon, Deloitte, Linkedin, Dell, and many more come to offer internships with stipends of more than 40000/- the highest stipend offered was 150000/-. Students getting internship also gets PPOs. They all expect a good understanding of knowledge and problem-solving from students.
Placement Experience
Students start getting placed in the 7th semester and start getting internship opportunities from the 5th semester. More than 400 companies visited KIIT this year with more than 5000 offers with an average CTC of 6.05 lakhs and the highest package of 52 lakhs. Companies like Amazon, TCS, Deloitte, HUL, Accenture, and many more visit KIIT to offer placements. KIIT has a record of 100% placement each year. I am too willing & working to secure a good package from KIIT next year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee per semester to be paid by the student is Rs.175000/- for tuition only and if one opts for a hostel to stay then they have to pay the additional cost of the hostel and mess as per hostel norms. One can avail scholarship grant to have relief in tuition fees via the KIITEE entrance exam only. And for international students, there are multiple opportunities to get admitted to KIIT via scholarships. KIIT is open to providing opportunities to students around the globe.
Campus Life
KIIT frequently hosts multiple events. Each year we use to have KIIT fest, but due to covid, it was not happening. But from now on it will be continued. Recently it was the 25th anniversary of KIIT so we had a huge scale event accommodating more than 60000 students from KIIT & KISS. KIIT hosts other huge events for its student as well. Students don't regret it in terms of the fest and all. We have a separate library for each department on each campus and a central library open 24/7 for every student which is 6 storeys tall and has a huge collection of books from all around the globe. We have multiple fitness and sports centre inside our campus Students can participate in them according to their talent and will. Multiple societies are formed and are forming under the KIIT Studnet activity centre and glorifying the inner talents of students.
Hostel Facilities
Our hostels are fully Wi-Fi-facilitated. Each student can opt for A/C or Non A/C rooms according to their choice. Food quality is good, and regular checking of food quality and hygiene is done by the authorities in every hostel. Each hostel has its mess. There is separate food for vegetarians and Non-Vegetarian in each hostel. A single hostel building can accommodate up to 500 students at a time. Registration for the hostel can be done once you get the admission via admission cell through mail or by contacting them on phone or physically in their office.
