Remarks

The admission process of KIIT is somewhat similar to other colleges. First, you have to apply on the official website of KIIT Kalinga Bhubaneswar then upload the required documents and submit the form they have an application fee of 1000 rupees. After some time they conduct an admission test in which the cutoff would be around 80%. If you qualify they will call you for counselling. I don't see any improvements required since the process is very smooth.

Course Curriculum Overview

From my school days, I was interested in coding therefore, I choose computer science and in this present scenario, I believe IT is the best branch. The student-teacher ratio was somewhat 40:1. All teachers were very qualified and had good knowledge of their respective subjects. The exams were timely and were a little hard.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 350000 per year

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There are multiple internship opportunities available at KIIT. However, I got an internship opportunity at TVS racing with a package of 2.4 lakh per annum. I had a project on the e-authentication system in which we built a lock which works on fingerprint. We had done all the programming ourselves, we only bought the hardware part.

Placement Experience

4.5

From semester 7 onwards students become eligible for campus placement. There are multiple companies that visit KIIT e.g Deloitte, IBM, Autodesk, Razor pay, Amazon etc The average package at this campus was 8 lakh and the highest package offered was 39 lakh per annum. Almost 100% of students get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee was somewhat moderate around 3.5 lakh per annum. There were scholarship for students of backward class by their respective states ranging from 30 thousand to 60 thousand. we get internship from campus at good companies.

Campus Life

4.5

Life at KIIT Kalinga is very good, we had good cultural programs and an annual fest conducted in January. KIIT has a big library consisting of all the books required in your program. Classes are well furnished with A.C. The college has a large campus with multiple shops and a sports complex.

Decent faculty and top tier placements, just follow the rules

Likes

I like the vibe of the canteen and greenery around my college

Dislikes

I don't like 75% attendance and the strictness of the faculty members

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Likes

The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

I did not apply for other colleges. Before getting admission in KIIT I did hear good reviews about the college and placements here so I applied for the CSE course here. The admission process for KIIT University is simple. You have to register and give the KIITEE exam and based on your exam percentile and your 12th percentage you get selected. REVIEW OF KIIT FROM A SECOND YEAR STUDENT

Apart from KIIT I also applied for PES university, VIT. I got confirmed admission in CSE branch of these colleges but these colleges are far away from my home. So distance is one of the main factors for not choosing other colleges instead of KIIT. For taking admission in KIIT one has to appear in the KIITEE examination which is conducted in CBT mode. After the exam result will be declared within a month. Then one has to sit for counselling for choosing the branch of their choice. The cutoff score is different for all the three phases. For example in 2023, a student securing 15 percentile in KIITEE got CSE core branch but in the second phase the cutoff for CSE core raised to 75 percentile....Read More
