This field of marine engineering is lucrative challenging adventurous. You will find the best faculties on this campus who themselves are former chief engineers and captains Teaching is good this college will bring best in You Exams are a little bit difficult to pass as you undergo physical training also but this is the demand of this field and if you can do this you will have a very successful career in this field

From the 4th semester, companies come for placements chevron fleet management NYK MOL Scorpio tankers Mediterranean Shipping Co Great Eastern Shipping Laurel Shipping Anglo-Eastern Ship Management etc companies come also placements percentage is 75-80 % The majority of cadets opt for sailing

The fees hike is not their total fees for the course are standard 9la for the entire course you will get everything from college like books and uniform etc Also, you get numerous scholarships from college alumni and many other organizations

Campus Life

Tempest is organized every year and it is one of the biggest marine fests in Asia Sports are most important in this college and every Cadet participates in one or other sport The library is available you will find all the books you require Also, many clubs are there you will develop many skills

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is a must and the food is good and the menu can be changed if you want There is no question of pg or rented room as it is compulsory for hostel You are provided with a personal cupboard for clothes table and chair for studying and a bookshelf and also a balcony for drying clothes

Placement Experience:

The college average placement are 6 lakh per annum and in my branch out of 64 student only 30 God placement but the mistake is of the students because many companies are visiting our colleges but they couldn't find the talent required for the skilled person they required

Placement Experience:

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

GOOD College at low fees.

Placement Experience:

Placement of my college are quite good with a avg package of 6 to 7 lpa and higest package of 45 lpa and this year the higest package is 75 lpa. The companies visited in my college are infosys, Capgemini,tcs,wipro, Mindtree,IBM, sometimes amazon also.The placement rate of the college is 85 to 95%.

Placement Experience:

1)From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement. 2) Cognizant , TCS(most fav), Wipro, startups, IBM visit for recruitment . 3)In 2023 highest was 45lpa by amazon average is 4.5lpa. 4)From our Hostel each and every senior get placed. some with good package like tcs digital, even off campus (2025). 5)My plan is to take a job and enter in IT firm to learn and teach new technolgies through my YOUTUBE.

The college is good for academics but there is no campus life.

Placement Experience:

The placements are average in the college. From 7th semester the students are eligible for placements. About 60% students get placed in the college. The average package of our college is 3-4 lakhs per annum and the highest package last year was around 13 lakhs per annum. I will choose to do M.tech after passing out of the college.

Good for placements, excellent hostel life and good to learn, apply and fun. A college for all round development.

I have searched for many other colleges but i chose this because it is the oldest marine engineering college and has a benchmark legacy, and this college has shaped the merchant navy of the nation. It has been known for producing the finest marine engineers. I preffered marine engineering over other courses because this is a type of training that ensures your wholesome development. DMET- Who Is Making a Skilled Engineers

My college ( IMU Kolkata Campus) also known as DMET is one of the best marine engineering college from all over the world because here we learn how to handle bad situations, discipline and creates the eco friendly environment in between the senior and juniors as well as the batchmates and help each other in difficult times. The best thing in this college is that you don't have to worry about your placement and your character this college makes you like that you can achieve everything by your own self.
