Remarks

Being a Private University, Admission is very easy. No bar on seats. Only passing certificates and mark sheets are required for admission. The application can be made online and offline as well. University has its regional offices also where one can go for admission and other queries. The application fee is not there. Admission fees have to be paid. Dates for application are also flexible. Eligibility is the passing marks of previous exams (graduation or High school). Entrance Tests or competitive exams are not mandatory. Reservation benefits are given as per government norms.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

LL.B. is a dynamic course. I choose LL.B. as its a noble profession and it is among the top professions that one can get into. LL.B. at Parul University is quite good. The curriculum is also updated. The faculties are good and helpful. Teaching methods include blackboard teaching, ppts, open discussions in class, interactive experts session, group activities, assignments, webinars, and seminars as well. Teachers' Student ratio is 1:60 i.e. one teacher in class. Separate teachers for separate subjects. Total of 6 subjects are there per semester. Exams are conducted every semester. Weekly tests on Fridays. Internal exams of 40 marks and Final Semester exams of 60 marks. Exams are not difficult to crack. One can easily score good marks if classes are attended.

Internships Opportunities

3

College provides internships generally with the legal services authority at the district level. The stipend is quite less and the majority of them are unpaid internships. College under the 75 attendance norms lacks in proving practical exposure. Internships that are long-term and full-time in nature are not appreciated by the college. The college focuses more on theoretical knowledge and course completion. Opportunities for paid internships in top-tier law firms are not possible to grab because of college rules of attendance. The timing of college does not allow you to do any other side hustle or internship in courts.

Placement Experience

4

College provides the placements. In LL.B. generally, students go for practice, higher studies, or any exams like the judiciary. College placements are provided as well. The college has a placement cell for this. Final-year students are only eligible to fill in for placements. The students are generally placed in law firms, with practicing advocates, and with some companies as well in the legal department. The average placement that one can get is up to 4 lakhs per annum. Almost all the students are getting placement assistance and many of them have been placed. I have not taken the placement yet as I am thinking of doing LL.M.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are quite high, but it is justified. Infrastructure, amenities, etc. are quite good. For LL.B. fees are around 40,000. For Integrated courses fee is around 75,000 per year. Fees have to be paid semester-wise. The scholarship is not given by the college itself. but all the government schemes are scholarships that can be availed. paid Internships are provided on campus, and Paid campus jobs are also given. The cost of the study is nominal as the cost of living is less. The campus has mess and canteen facilities as well. Hostel fees are starting from 90,000 per year.

Campus Life

4.5

The campus is very good. It had many canteens, gardens, a cafeteria, etc. Fests are also conducted. All the festivals are celebrated. The annual event named Dhoom is a 3-day event, and Fresher's fest is conducted for 2 days. Convocation was conducted with great enthusiasm. Besides these food courts, Halloween parties, Navratri fest, Durga puja, etc. all are conducted at a grand level. The campus had a cricket ground, basketball court, nets, volleyball ground, kabaddi mat, etc. all the sports amenities were available. The library is also well-equipped with books, journals and daily newspapers are present. Classrooms have projectors and whiteboards with comfortable benches. Various committees are cells are running inside the college.

Placement Experience:

After 4th year, students are eligible to sit for placements. Some students also receive a pre-placement offer in the 4th year itself. The students are first prepared for day zero, i.e., placement day, beforehand by conducting a mock interview, which is a voluntary session conducted by the placement committee. CV Vetting workshops are also conducted in the eighth semester because at the end of the 8th semester, the placements are made where tier-1 companies like Khaitan, AZB Partners, CAM, SAM, Trilegal, etc. In-house firms like Adani, ICICI Bank, Tata, and more come for recruiting students. Some students sit for placement; others who want to prepare for government exams like judiciary, UPSC, Public Prosecutor, etc. refrain from sitting in placements.

Admission:

The candidates scoring a minimum of 50% in their +2 exam from any recognized university are applicable for filling the form. The admission is done purely on basis of merit as per the percentage in the 12th exams. I scored 86% and got my name in the top 5 of the merit list.
