Remarks

First Clear IMU CET exam You will get it on imu. edu.in Reservation for sc st and obc. If u get 10 % lesser marks than the general category students you are going to be get selected like other colleges The level of the exam needs to be tougher and rest of everything is fine like counselling and documents verification which are done by well-certified college faculty

Course Curriculum Overview

I was very much interested in this course and get to know about it through my friends The ratio is good enough 35:1 As the faculty are from the same field so they are very much eligible and their way of teaching is very interesting as they explain by giving real examples The exam frequency was every six month and little bit tough to pass due to high passing marks

Class Size: 35Course Fees: INR 125000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The company give us a chance of getting on board experience for 6 month after course completion and they pay around 600 dollar average per month so that we could get the practical experience of machinery

Placement Experience

From 4th semester students are eligible for campus placement and company start to visit More than 20 companies are visiting our campus and that is quite enough for 220 students. Fleet management is the mass recruiter of our college at least selecting 32 students 90% get placed during the college tenure only the rest are placed within 1-2 months after college My plan is simply to get a job in a good shipping company as an engineer

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee charged per year is 250000 including the hostel fees Or we can include all the charges If you are selected in the top 60 of the merit list for the semester exam you will be receiving a stipend of 50000 and if you finish in the top 30 you are going to get a stipend of 75000.

Campus Life

Tempest is the fest which is conducted every year in the month of September and it goes up to October The collection of books is good enough and it is from every field of the world There is a very high focus on sports and extracurricular activities

Hostel Facilities

The facilities provided in the room are bed together with an almirah The food quality is not that good enough but it is eatable like other colleges There are not any other procedures for registration for the hostel and affordability No option other than a hostel

Placement Experience:

The college average placement are 6 lakh per annum and in my branch out of 64 student only 30 God placement but the mistake is of the students because many companies are visiting our colleges but they couldn't find the talent required for the skilled person they required

Placement Experience:

Well as far as mh knowledge students get to placements from 6th semester itself . Well there are placement classes from 3rd semester itself . The placement track record of the college is quite good with most year about 90% gets placed with good companies comming like Deloitte, EY GDS , JP MORGAN, Oracle , offering high amount of placement offers like around 20+ lpa . Well I am not sure about my plans maybe if the palacement is good I'll take it or will be preparing for GATE (Whose courses are also provided from college .)

GOOD College at low fees.

Placement Experience:

Placement of my college are quite good with a avg package of 6 to 7 lpa and higest package of 45 lpa and this year the higest package is 75 lpa. The companies visited in my college are infosys, Capgemini,tcs,wipro, Mindtree,IBM, sometimes amazon also.The placement rate of the college is 85 to 95%.

Placement Experience:

1)From 6th semester students become eligible for campus placement. 2) Cognizant , TCS(most fav), Wipro, startups, IBM visit for recruitment . 3)In 2023 highest was 45lpa by amazon average is 4.5lpa. 4)From our Hostel each and every senior get placed. some with good package like tcs digital, even off campus (2025). 5)My plan is to take a job and enter in IT firm to learn and teach new technolgies through my YOUTUBE.

The college is good for academics but there is no campus life.

Placement Experience:

The placements are average in the college. From 7th semester the students are eligible for placements. About 60% students get placed in the college. The average package of our college is 3-4 lakhs per annum and the highest package last year was around 13 lakhs per annum. I will choose to do M.tech after passing out of the college.

Good for placements, excellent hostel life and good to learn, apply and fun. A college for all round development.

I have searched for many other colleges but i chose this because it is the oldest marine engineering college and has a benchmark legacy, and this college has shaped the merchant navy of the nation. It has been known for producing the finest marine engineers. I preffered marine engineering over other courses because this is a type of training that ensures your wholesome development. DMET- Who Is Making a Skilled Engineers

My college ( IMU Kolkata Campus) also known as DMET is one of the best marine engineering college from all over the world because here we learn how to handle bad situations, discipline and creates the eco friendly environment in between the senior and juniors as well as the batchmates and help each other in difficult times.
