Remarks
You must have completed your Class 12 with any board with a minimum of 50% in General / OBC and 45% in SC/ ST. You can apply for this exam from the Lucknow University website. This exam does not include in CUCET, you have to fill it out from the Lucknow university website. Reservation is given to EWS/ OBC / Sc/ St students. 10% to EWS, 27% to OBC, 15% to SC, and 7.5 % to ST. There can be one improvement in the admission process, the admission process is offline i.e. pen& paper mode it can be done in CBT form.
Course Curriculum Overview
I want to study banking and finance and applying for this course is very helpful to understand accounting, banking & finance. It is a 3-year program in last year you got an option to do a specialization in Finance or Accounting. The faculty is very good and friendly and there is a 55 % girls and 45% boys ratio. Teachers are highly qualified and experienced. Most of the teachers are the Ph.D. holder, The way of teaching are really appreciated. If you are planning to go to Lucknow University for this degree, you can go without any doubt ... You will have great qualified teachers and really fun in learning. There are total 6 semester and 6 mid - terms exams in 3 year . You can easily pass it by regularly attending the class .
Internships Opportunities
I was working in Tata Consultancy Services as an intern during my summer internship. I have learned about tally, fund management operation roles, and Marketing. I was getting a 5000-8000 stipend during my internship. The time duration of the internship was 2 months. I was working on Social Media Marketing, This is an attractive field for youth nowadays as social media is more prevalent in younger age groups.
Placement Experience
From the 5th semester, students are allowed to sit in campus placement. Companies like amazon, concentric, HCL, HDFC, TCS, Hexaware, etc visit campus and offer placements to students. Placements are according to the courses opted by the student. 50 percent to 60 percent of the B.com (Hons.) are placed in different companies. I am pursuing LL.B ( Hons.) after completing my B.com degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
It is a self-financed course, B.com(Hons.) cost around 58000 a year which is 29000 each semester. But plane B.com cost around 10000 a year. For the latest fees brochure check on University Website i.e. https://www.lkouniv.ac.in As it is a state university, the government provides scholarships. The students who have cleared the entrance exam can take admission on a ZERO fee basis on the basis of a scholarship by the government. The students whose financial condition is not strong can apply for the scholarship on the basis of an income certificate.
Campus Life
The university conducts many fest and programs every year. Student gets the opportunity to participate in the fest and volunteer it. Some of the fest is SANSKRITI SURBHI which is done at a very high level. IIM Lucknow students and other college students are invited to the Program and cultural fest of the university. The university has a great library with a variety of books, Students can easily access any book. Each faculty-student has one library card on which he/she can issue books. The university has a very good sports life, Many other colleges come to compete with the university in different sports, It has both indoor as well outdoor sports facilities. NCC children are also selected from university to do prade on NEW DELHI on 26th January. There are many NGO and social welfare activities run by University.
