Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen this course as it has better plans. The faculty: student ratio here is about 1:25. The teachers are well-qualified, and all of them are Ph.D. holders. There are two term exams in one semester, mid-sem exams and end-sem exams, and are quite difficult to pass.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for placements as soon as they reached the 8th semester. The major companies visiting here are Amazon, Microsoft, DeShaw, JP Morgan, etc. The highest package this year was 43 lakhs while the average package was around 11 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
This college is likely expensive but the return on investment of this college is good, while there is a fee hike of 10% every year. College provides various scholarships also some of them are merit-wise, they also provide stipend internships as you reach third year of your college.
Campus Life
The greatest fest here is known as Saturnalia and is usually held in November. The Thapar provides the 7th world's largest library in the world, all the major books are available in the library. Sports facilities are also great, all types of sports grounds are available.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities in the college are pretty good, the food available in the mess is good in taste and provides variety. The hostels are affordable and the registration process is merit-based. The rent of a 2 seater non AC room here is 43500 per semester.
