CIT Chennai, B.E(computer science & eng)

Remarks

The basic course curriculum is very good in CIT. Outside the normal courses present in CSE, the college provides different foreign language classes all throughout the college years without any extra fees included in the course curriculum of each and every course present in the university.

Entrance Preview

For qualifying for the technical interview conducted in CIT, the criteria was set to have more than 70% in in 12th board. I got 78% in 12th and qualified the technical interview. Moreover, CIT is the best private institute in Chennai area. It has the best infrastructure, rankings and global reputation for its academics.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The curriculum is rigid and you would not have much option to opt from the available subjects. You have the minimum requirement of atleast 8-10 students to opt for any subject. The problem for opting subject electives is that the department does not possess enough faculty to support the course.

Placement Experience

Yes the college provides us with the placement offers and usually the placement department helps the student to find right internship. The various companies like Petrofac,Kawasaki, vortex go for placements. The companies offer huge package to many students depending on their capabilities.

Campus Life

3.5

The gender ratio is too good to believe. The campus life is quite fun and full of exisiting experiences. There is a yearly sports event that is like a mini olympics of Chennai institute of technology. It is really competetive and fun to be a part of.very enjoyable campus life.

Overall Good

Placement Experience:

In our University from the starting of Seventh semester we are eligible for campus placements. Campanies like Jubilant food works, Zifo Technologies, Amura Heath Pvt.Ltd, Biocon etc. were some of the companies that visited our campus. Around fifty students got offers from these companies. About 70 percentage of the students got placements successfully. I am planning to pursue a master degree abroad

Many clubs available from Toastmasters to Campus Life, Our club Toastmasters is one of the peak highlights of our college. We regularly go to corporates to attend meetings of their clubs and network a lot.
Love the Research setup of our college. Has more than 15 COEs present. ABB research centre is the best among them
The bring in a lot of industry professionals every. One or the other event always keeps happening.

Dislikes

Campus is not very huge since it's in the centre of the city but the outside shops make up for this

Placement Experience:

From the very entry into your third year, you will be eligible to most of the placements. The training provided is very exquisite and some of the trainings start as early as 1st year. 2026 highest package was 55LPA. Many companies like from product companies like Microsoft, Capgemini to service based companies like TCS, INFOSYS etc.. visit our campus for regular placements. About 98% of people placed as far as I have heard.

A Good College Experience with Opportunities for Learning and Growth

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is fairly relevant and comprehensive, covering both theoretical concepts and practical applications. It provides a good foundation for technical knowledge, but including more industry-oriented projects, hands-on training, and updated technologies would make it even better for future career opportunities.
