Course Curriculum Overview

I have no idea what to do after school. So I decided to start my degree in a basic manner and that's why I selected B.com. SRM vadapalani holds students of around 5000-10000. Here the teaching method is so good and satisfying and the mentors here are very friendly and supportive. Exams get started within a month after entering a new sem and it starts with a unit test and follows with a model exam and the main semester. The exam is somehow difficult and confusing, but if we listen in class about the topics, it's more than enough to study.

Class Size: 75Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship projects are offered by our college by sending us to various companies to gain experience about how the job will be and how the people will interact with each other in a working area. It is beneficial.

Placement Experience

Around 5th semester, the placement procedure gets started and students should be eligible for at least 70% 12th marks and 6 to 7 CGPA in college. Top companies like Wipro, Godrej , HP, CISCO, etc, My plan after getting my degree is to pursue a PG course.

Fees and Financial Aid

On this campus, B.com gen costs around Rs.80000 per year and fees of Rs.2500 for each semester. SRM accepts mostly all types of scholarships and it will also provide placement facilities. It mainly focuses on sports quota and anyone who enters college with a sports quota will have a splendid experience.

Campus Life

Our campus has clubs like the Rotaract club of SRM IST CSH VADAPALANI (which is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Chennai Chola RI District 3232) etc., and which is now conducting various programs and special events which boost students' mentality and motivate them to achieve success in life. There are a lot of books available in our library and including MBA and other PG course books and references.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are available only for PG and certain U.G courses and of course, the food facilities here are very hygienic and healthy and the hostel charges around Rs.53000-58000. Further details about the hostel will be issued in the office room on the SRM campus.

Hostel Fee: INR 56500 per year

Admission

As I took B.com (Gen), it needs eligibility of at least 60% 12th mark. Application forms can be found in the campus office and application fees of around 1100 applications will be issued around the period of May and June. SRM is mainly concerned with sports. So, anyone can enter in sports quota. Nothing much improvement is needed in the admission process. Thank you.

Commerce cours has an entire building as we have five division in B.Com itself.
Seminars and industry people are called to guide us for placements and what all add ons do we need to learn to get a corporate job.
Our fests is too good as otherwise college gate closed at 5pm but during fests it last till 10 pm.

Dislikes

Dress code which is very wierd both for boys and girls.

Placement Experience:

P&G, Deloitte, KPMG, INTEL and many others have started taking interest in B.Com students as well. Placements though our of 400 it is still around like 100 odd students get placed from campus and with a salary of 30-40k around.

Colleges which I have applied for was Sree Ramachandra institute in tamil nadu, MGR University IISER But I only got confirmed admission from SRM by writing a medical entrance exam.
