What Students Say

Likes

The environment and the educational quality
A good and various options for food and sports
Very spacious classrooms and a lot of help from staffs

Dislikes

Sometimes the transport responds very rudely
Sports participation isnt allowed based on selections only with a criteria
A lot of racial discrimination between students from north and south

Course Curriculum Overview

There is no issue with the course structure and the curriculum the only issue is availability of the optional subjects from the 4th or 6th sem due to lack of students strength for the subjects...you write the sem exams every 5months

Internships Opportunities

Amazon,HCL, TCS,Cognizant and a lot more companies like Capegemini provide internships with stipend and also confirm jobs asfar as i know. They provide alot of various technical and non technical roles like data entry,queries checker,ML data operations,full stack development etc. The projects depend completely on the company demands and training

Placement Experience

The placement eligibilty comes right before the final year and it is better if you have no arrears and attend the placement with an >6.5 cgpa...They provide placements training to perform well in the placements

Fees and Financial Aid

I paid around 2.5 lakh a year and now it has been increased to 4 lakh a year according to information from freshers So bus fee is 70000 a year and hostels have a lot of options upto single private rooms with Ac

Campus Life

When it comes to club, sports,culturals and infrastructure SRM stands seperately on the top asusual because it is known for it...it ranks on the top of the list along with private colleges like saveetha and chettinad for its wonderful maintenance and support for the sports and culturals

Admission

I needed a college with a free mindset where a student can study and enjoy at the same time...too much pressure onto the students is going to definitely make them fail or bring up fear of losing...so this college gives you the confidence that you can enjoy and study at the same time

Faculty

There are 4 staffs every 60 students and a massive volume of students for upto 10000 in engineering Personally every staff were very good and friendly to our class but my favourite is definitely my faculty advisor Totally 48 subjects for 4 years and can clear it easily if they refer previous year question papers

Night Life

There are a lot of amenities like gym,cafeterias and library for the hostel students usage And the hostel timing are that the students can have a pass and leave the hostel or can stay outside until 8'o clock The clock tower is the most famous hangout place inside the college and outisde it is the table 9 and the elclasico turf nearby...it is safe to roam outside rather than potheri

Placement Experience:

In our University from the starting of Seventh semester we are eligible for campus placements. Campanies like Jubilant food works, Zifo Technologies, Amura Heath Pvt.Ltd, Biocon etc. were some of the companies that visited our campus. Around fifty students got offers from these companies. About 70 percentage of the students got placements successfully. I am planning to pursue a master degree abroad

Likes

Many clubs available from Toastmasters to Campus Life, Our club Toastmasters is one of the peak highlights of our college. We regularly go to corporates to attend meetings of their clubs and network a lot.
Love the Research setup of our college. Has more than 15 COEs present. ABB research centre is the best among them
The bring in a lot of industry professionals every.One or the other event always keeps happening.

Dislikes

Campus is not very huge since it's in the centre of the city but the outside shops make up for this

Likes

The library is really Awesome in every aspect.
The facilities and labs and everything needed for studies is way above the bar. Great university to actually study and research.

Dislikes

No culturals, and if there is some only secular songs
Strict rules (needed, but some are too strict)

Placement Experience:

From the sixth semester the student are eligible for placements and prominent companies such as bicon, lifecell, zoho, Thermofisher, lmt mindtree, jubilant food works, siemens, bioartha and around 2030 offers has been made os of april 2026 for my batch. the percentage of students getting placed is over 95 percent as the rest of the students have opted for higher studies like me. i plan on doing my masters abroad.

In my college the placement training was going for seperate student
They have a lot of celebrations for the student instead of the college days

They have worst infrastructure of college

The transportation to the college is slightly hard

Colleges which I have applied for was Sree Ramachandra institute in tamil nadu, MGR University IISER But I only got confirmed admission from SRM by writing a medical entrance exam.
