Entrance Preview

These days admission are through TNEA entrance exam which is for engineering courses in this college and is given 60% weight age for test score.basically i was recommended by one of my friend as he was the past student of this college and got a positive feedback from him.

Placement Experience

The Placement cell organizes and expands services towards collaborative placement activities. The placement facility is good and the university arranges the training activities for the students so that students mainly focusing on their Career planning, Personality Development, Institute Interaction and so many things.

Hostel Facilities

Hostels of the college are good. But if we consider according to the hostel then these are acceptable. One room in the hostels shared by three person. Students can also live in PG. The average rent is about 4000 per month. It is affordable. The rooms of PG's are good and shared by two persons.

External Expense: Rs.7000 - Rs.10000

Exam Structure

The exam structure is cool for students. Sometimes exam troubles the students which generally everywhere happens but overall , it is nice. It never proves hectic for the students. Also the lab and practical tools are very nice because time to time government releases the fund for modernization of institute and to purchase advanced lab tools and appliances.

Faculty

All the faculties are well dedicated to teaching. Above 90% of them have done PhD or masters in their respective areas of interest. Also they look very much interested in their area of study. They always show lot of interest in giving their every knowledge and experiences to the students. Some of them are very experienced.

the classrooms in specialization are air conditioned

the attendance is strict at 75% and subject attendances upto 80%
you cannot exit campus before 3.15 pm under any circumstances

Placement Experience:

The placements are very decent and they provide internships as early career opportunities as well in 3rd year of studies and the college possess high conversion rates through these internships which support the resume with actual corporate exposure

Calm and Student-Friendly at DMI College of Engineering

Likes

The college provides a friendly and supportive learning environment.

Here there is no gender separation like boys and girls should be seperate and stuff like that.
It is a autonomous college so courses are changing regularly with the shift in education
Here we have relative grading system therefore there is no ranking and easy to get good grades

Dislikes

We have to pay yearly fees not semester wise it difficult for low income earning families
Money is collected from students for all events happening in the college.
There is a rush for collection of fees at the start of each year and unpaid students might face absent issues

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are moderate but i don't know much about other courses but for civil engineering the average placed ctc is 3 lakh per annum one or two students got higer package but most of the students got lower package as a fresher.

High fees the government college but charging high fees making it difficult for students from lower income background to access quality education

From 5 th semester onwards students are eligible for campus placements. Lots of companies. The highest package is 26 lakhs and the average package is 1.5 lakhs. 98% of students get placed. Doing my best in a career as an entrepreneur.
