Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose the Electrical and Electronics department because it is one of the two branches that have both opportunities in the field of core engineering and the IT sector. So one has both the gates open to him/her and can choose the one which he finds more interest in. So in our department, there are about 25 professors and several lab instructors/coordinators. Professors here are highly qualified and many of them are still engaged in doing several research in their free time. So we get to learn about their current projects and even get involved in them. From this year onwards, i.e., 2023, there will be two exams known as Mid sem and End sem. They're not that difficult to pass. One can even score good marks in them if one works hard. Some professors, however, are keen on failing some students, so have to be a bit careful about that.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

All companies that come for placements will come for internships as well more or less. The stipend is also high especially for the big companies that offer about 1.5 lakhs per month stipend. Companies come and offer various roles to students, some of which are Software developers, Database Engineers, Analysts, and for core, some learning experiences under mega companies.

Placement Experience

3.5

Students are eligible for campus placement from the 7th semester onwards. They can enroll themselves through our TnP department and further will get to sit in the placement cycle. Several big companies come to our college for placement including Amazon, Google, Oracle, Goldman Sachs, DE Shaw, Hilti, and many more. The highest package this year was 64 lakhs Rs. to a student in the CSE department. Placement percentage varies department-wise. The highest placement percentage is of CSE, then followed by ECE, EEE, MECH, and META, and then comes the rest. CSE placement percentage is about 91%.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees hike is nominal and will not much affect anyone. The course fee is about 133700 Rs. per year in the Btech program. There are several scholarships available for students, which they can avail of as and when required. College also provides fee remission to students who have low family income.

Campus Life

3.5

There is one tech fest that is conducted in college known as AXIS. It generally happens in January. There is one cultural fest in the college known as AAROHI, which is the biggest fest in Central India. About books and journals in the library, one can be ensured that Institute has taken care of that. There is a library on campus, which has a huge amount of books, journals, and magazines in them. One can avail of them at any time free of any additional cost. Classrooms are well equipped with modern technologies. Each classroom has projectors, touchscreen displays, sound systems, and extra for students to use and feel comfortable with. There is a huge culture of sports in college. All kinds of sports are encouraged and available in our big sports room complex. One can be ensured, that whichever game they play Institute has got it covered. Even we recently started a professional-level swimming pool on our campus.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

There are about 10 hostel blocks available for boys on our campus. Each has on average 600 rooms capacity. One can be ensured they will not feel lonely here. Rooms are also quite accommodable. There are several mess halls too in our mega mess. Meal quality will be as you expect of any government college, so don't be surprised if you don't get food as you get at your home. Hostel fees are about 82000 per year, which also includes mess charges.

Admission

Admission to this college, especially for B.Tech courses is purely on JEE Mains score basis. One can for JEE Mains through its official website. It is conducted every year twice in January and April. One is eligible to apply for JEE Mains after he/she has passed class 12. Several reservation benefits can be availed by those students who fall under their category.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
