My Happy Place!

Likes

There are all kinds of clubs possible for extracurricular.
The teachers and staff are supportive at all times.
Canteen food is both tasty and hygienic.

Dislikes

No one apart from sports students are allowed to use the sports equipment. We have to carry and bring our own balls and everything in that case.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I always had interest in Chemistry and the science behind the bonds. It has always fascinated me. The curriculum is very much similar to what we prepare for the competitive exams like NET or GATE, just the exam pattern is different. We mostly study for subjective university exam. The frequency and timing of exams is perfect, just how it should be. The difficulty level is moderate too.

BITS Pilani delivers ; provided the fees fits your budget

Likes

Very enthusiastic faculty , impressive publications , some faculty are advisory members in boards liker springer publication
The exposure one gets in the college for entrepreneurial ventures as well as finance is immense , if one as an engineer wants to become a financial analyst , the steps are quite easy and set .
Zero attendance policy is very beneficial

Dislikes

Faculty can take zero attendance more into account . Though there is zero attendance policy there are surprise quizzes which get included in your grade
Living amenties are below average at the end of the day Pilani is a village and one does'nt get basic amenities like healthcare and proper food
the fees is too much for what they offer , there have been strikes but with no positive outcome

Placement Experience:

Students can sit in campus placements starting from their second last semester. Some phenomenal companies that visited placement last year was BCG , Bain n Co . , Jane Street ,Amazon , Flipkart .Also there are many companies /startups which visit for non tech roles like PM / data (Xpedia) and many more .As for the tech and core roles if you have a CG above 8 you will be sure shot placed . Highest packages go upto 2 crores for quant roles since they are highly paid for .Approximately 81 % of the students get placed , I have personally seen students with a CGPA of even 5 get placed a job of 14 Lakhs per annum .My plans after getting the degree are to work in finance .
