NIT Raipur - The Students Love

Having a keen dedication to learning coding-related stuff I opted for Computer Science and Engineering course. The Faculty Members of NIT Raipur are highly cooperative and friendly. They provide regular guidance for technical and personality development skills. NIT Raipur has both blackboard teaching and smart board teaching options. Apart from these, there are workshops, mock interviews and speakers session held on a bi-weekly basis. The B.Tech course has 8 semesters in it. In each semester a student must pass the mid-sem exam, practicals and end-sem exams. Apart from these students have to make major projects, minor projects, assignments, lab files, and research papers for their internals.

Companies like amazon, Microsoft, Assurant, texas, visa, adobe, DBOI, and optimum comes for internship opportunities but they are all major demands for a technical role. The majority of them require DSA, Development and Data Analysis skills. While there are fewer chances for non-technical streams. Machine Learning, AI, Web -Dev, Data Analysis, and UI/UX are the various skills they focus on and demand.

NIT Raipur has a hilarious placement and internship opportunity for its students. Companies like Adobe, amazon, Microsoft, Optum, DBOI, visa, intuit, Accenture, ZS, oracle, samsung, TCS, Deloitte etc come for hiring. The overall average package from NIT Raipur is around 10 LPA. While the CSE, IT and Electronics brach have and average placement of around 18 LPA. The highest package was offered from Adobe of 55 LPA. But there are other good companies for Non-Technical stram.

The Annual fees for General and OBC Category : RS 134000 for income above 5 Lakhs RS 51000 for income between 1-5 lakhs RS 9000 for income less than 1 lakh for SC/ ST/ PH category the annual fee is Rs 9000. Apart from this, the students can get scholarships through various internal and government related schemes

The overall environment at NIT Raipur is quite optimistic. The Social clubs take proper care to entertain the college members. Eclectika - The annual fest of NIT Raipur is held in the month of Feb Aavartan - The science fest CodeUtsava- The tech Fest Shruti- The Musical Fest various clubs are Nrityam - The Dance Club Shaurya- the Sports Club TCP- The coding Club Technocracy - The Robotix Club TedX- Speakers club Raga- the musical club Sahyoh- the mentorship club Sanskriti Apart from these, there is a library, canteen, amul parlour, gym, tennis court, football court, sports room etc in our college.

The National Institue of Raipur also provides hostel facilities for students. But the no. of rooms in the hostel is quite limited and the seats are reserved based on category and merit basis. Basically, the annual and rental fees including the mess of NIT Raipur are around 45000 rupees. The quality of food in the mess is okay. On Sunday eve and night the mess is off. But yes students are provided with good quality and a variety of meals including paneer, chicken, dosa, chole bhature, pasta. Registration for a hostel is done annually on a merit basis. The areas near NIT Raipur where rental rooms and PG are available are DDU nagar, Gol Chowk, kot, Singapore city etc.

I opted for the B.Tech Course in computer science and engineering stream from NIT Raipur. The eligibility of the course is that one must be from a science background with mathematics as a subject in his secondary school education. Admission to this college is via the entrance exam of JEE Mains and JEE Advance. The students are admitted on a merit basis. The forms for the exam are available between the months of November to January and the exam in held 4 times a year in the months of January, February, march and April. The Reservation benefits are also availed at NIT Raipur. 75 % of the total seats are reserved for home-state candidates and 25% are reserved for another state. Apart from this seats are reserved for OBC/ SC/ ST /EWS and generals category.
