Course Curriculum Overview
The course is relatively up-to-date and quite good. Faculty and professors can be a hit or miss but in general, they are quite amazing at their job and clear doubts as soon as they can. Most of the teachers are previous IIT/NIT professors and are quite research-oriented and enthusiastic. They will help and guide you in any research you might be interested in.
Internships Opportunities
A lot of companies start coming from 2nd year itself for placement like JPMC, IBM, Bosch, Google, Microsoft, etc. A variety of job profiles are offered from SDE to Web Dev to AI/ML Engineers among others.
Placement Experience
Students are eligible to sit for placement from the 7th semester and internships from the 6th semester. Adobe, Microsoft, IBM, AMD, NVIDIA, Google and a lot of other MNVs visit each year and make multiple offers. The highest placement has been 52lakh/annum CTC and the average package is 4lakh/annum. Placements are 100% each year. Postgraduation is encouraged highly here.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are quite high but considering it is a private college, the fees are as expected. The mess and hostel can be somewhat expensive but are manageable. The scholarship is provided if you score high on the KIITEEE exam.
Campus Life
Fests are held during February and March and consist of cultural and tech fests. Books are provided by the college itself and included in tuition fees. Classrooms are modern with AC, Whiteboard, Smartboard, Cameras, Speakers and Plug Points to charge laptops. A lot of stadiums and grounds are built for different sports and sports participation is thoroughly encouraged and appreciated. A lot of clubs in various technical and non-technical domains operate too.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel rooms are cleaned daily by staff. You can opt for personal washrooms or use the common ones which are cleaned each day. Meals are quite good and include non-veg as well as veg dishes. Hostels and mess are somewhat expensive but are still manageable.
Admission
Application to college is via the KIITEEE exam. The questions were relatively easy but time management was key to clearing the exam. The cutoff is declared after the end of the exam. No reservations as such for applicants.
