What Students Say

Likes

Faculty members are really nice
Placement and internship opportunities are good
Competition for coding held usually for students

Dislikes

Management is not good
Attendance should be 75% in every subject otherwise you can't give exams
Location of college is not in remote area

Course Curriculum Overview

I have some interest in tech. and programming that's why I opt. for B.Tech ( CSE). Student-to-teacher ratio is 30:2 and most faculty members are from IITs and NITs or central universities with PHDs and Masters's degrees. There are 3 midterms in a semester called CATs around 1 in two months. My course has the largest number of students and faculty members are very helpful in nature.

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 149000 per year

Internships Opportunities

4.5

After a 2-semester college provides internships for students and most companies like cellonis, AICTE, hacker rank etc provide internships. I worked on a project related to Travelling App and a auto mask detector App.

Placement Experience

I will rate my 9 out of 10 my college placement because most students get placed in my department and many MNCs also visit our college. Students after 6 semesters are applicable to apply for placement and can apply for an Internship after 2 semesters. The average package is about 5 lakhs and the highest package is around 27 or 23 lakhs annually. 90 per cent of students get placed in my department.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees for a year are 149000 along with 10000 exam fees. Fees for B.Tech(CSE) are the same as in 2016. I applied for a UP scholarship and according to the college scheme, you can get a scholarship if you have a 9+ CGPA. Hostel fees are about 120000 for 2 seaters.

Campus Life

The Computer Science department usually organizes programming competitions or inter-college coding competitions. Students can apply free of cost and also the winner gets the prize money. Sports days are also organised by Uni. all department students can take part in them. Most books are available in the library there are two Libraries at University and students can issue books for 15 days. There are different clubs like SMT, GMT, TJ, MC and Graphic club that organize events and they are handled by students.

Admission

Applier should be 12 classes passed with a minimum 65 above percentage. Application forms are available on Galgotias University's official website and the charges for applying form are approx 1500 rupees. The application process is quite easy for students can apply themselves.

Overall Feedback for College - Admission , Placement , Course , Faculty , Events

Likes

the security is nice at my college like proper cctv and guards , apart from that labs , and my dept is too good. Ac classroom and labs
They have provided average placement like most of companies are mass hiring like tcs and accenture ..and only few companies come to offer big package
Infrastructure is good but there is need of reconstruction at some places the water is ticking in rain season continuously, and curriculum is okay okay not that much relevant to industry , they taught text books rather than the real practical cases

Dislikes

The examination checking - the student who is cr or having any relation with teachers got highest marks without writing the answer properly
The food canteen first of all the canteen is off from the past 1 or 2 year and now it reopen but it sells dirty food , waste foods
The college professor support , they are not that much supportive

Course Curriculum Overview:

coding I am interested in coding that why I offer this course It provide some courses but not all courses are related to real world they have to use practical examples and make students aware of the real industry According to me the time and frequency is okay of exam

I wanted to go to VIPS, Pitampura. I did get admission there but they did not update the 4 year course policy which was newly released by the govt on their website and ipu website. Due to this my budget messed up and I had to back up. I specially prepared for this exam but in the end I ended up going to a private university where I feel like I wasted my time and money. This university is not how it may look like. It may be good in terms of fees but the faculty and courses that get taught are like as if pursuing two degrees with no meaning. The admission process was simple and east. Fill an application form and go to GCET and get everything done there that's all. No complicated thing....Read More
