The real experience of THE LIFE AT KIIT

I had chosen Btech with Computer Science as my branch as we can see how the IT industry is evolving very fast in today's world and the average package of every software developer is higher than other jobs in India. So under 1 faculty 72 students are there and we also have an open elective for faculty in which we can choose under which faculty we want to study. The qualifications of almost every faculty are good here, they are a very helpful and knowledgeable person and the way they teach is also very good. Our Midsems and Endsemds also happen timely and students can score well if they study well before their exams. You can pass your exams by just studying a day before the exam.

Companies start coming after completion of 4th semester for internship. Big companies like amazon, atlassian, goldman sachs, trilogy with high stipend of 80k and 1 lakh have come during the 5th semester. They have a collaboration with high radius company where more than 1500 students get internship with stipend of near 15000.

From your 5th semester companies will start appearing for your internship and from your 7th-semester companies will start appearing for placements. Big companies like amazon, Microsoft, adobe, Atlassian, Capgemini, yugabyte come with big packages. The highest package for the 2023 batch was 62 lakhs and the average package was 8.5 lakhs where 1500 students have bagged an offer of 15lpa+ and 1200 students have bagged offers above 10lpa. The percentage of students getting placed in the computer science branch is almost 100%. I also wish to crack an on-campus placement with a high package and work in big MNCs.

The fees of the college are somewhat high. It is 175000 per semester which is a huge amount, not every middle-class student can afford the fees. Hostel charges for non-ac sharing rooms are 28000 and 22000 for the mess. The internship season starts after the 2nd year and the placement also starts after 3rd year. The placement stats here are really good. The highest package goes up to 60 lakhs and an average package of 6 lakhs.

A fest happens every year during the month of February this year it happened as KIIT KARNIVAL of 15 days where the complete campus was decorated and different functions happened on different days. There are various libraries inside the campus for every department and there is a main library on 7 floors which has every department's books and it is very good for sitting and studying during our exams. All the classrooms have centralised ac and digital screens. The sports facilities here are also very good here and there are stadiums for every sport, there is a good opportunity for a good sportsperson in kiit. There are a number of societies under various types of domains like social work, photography, digital marketing, dance, music etc you can join any of them and enhance your skills.

I have opted for a non-ac 3-bed sharing room which costs 28000. In the room, a table, chair, wardrobe, bed, mattress, bulb and all essential commodities are provided. The mess costs 22500. The mess food and variety of the food is really good. They serve both veg and non-veg according to your choice. During your admission, you will be asked to fill out a form for availing of the hostel facilities and the price chart will also be provided.

I had filled out a form for an exam KIITEEE which is free of cost and it happens every year all over India. I gave the exam online at an online assessment platform as 2020 COVID-19 was at its peak. They had asked questions from Physics, Maths and Chemistry. After the exam, a rank will be given to you according to your result and a rank below 5000 is good for the Computer Science branch. If you come below the 1000 rank you will even get a scholarship i.e. discount of some amount in your fee structure.
