Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen Btech(Computer science Engineering) as my curriculum, my rank was 320 so I got the opportunity to select any of the courses provided by the college in a stipulated time frame. In KIIT student ratio is 1:1, it's a healthy environment you will feel here. All the professors have PHD degrees and many professors are from IIT, and IIIT and some are even from Harvard. Teaching is good they help us a lot. Toral of 8 semesters are there with every semester there you have to give two exams, mid sem and end sem.
Internships Opportunities
I am not sure about other branches but for computer science and IT, we had special training programs organised during our holidays. They did charge some nominal amount, which seems to be a lot when you are in college, but later on, you realised its importance. Today, if I can write in my resume that I am OCJP JE6, certified then the credits solely go to those training provided to us. Apart from that in our 3rd year of engineering Microsoft did come to recruit people for internships and even provided PPOs to some deserving students. I am sure such programs must be organised for other branches as well. If not maybe you could start an initiative and bring in companies for internship. You just need to think big.
Placement Experience
Over 200 companies come every year for placement recruitment. The avg package is about 8.2lakhs and a maximum of 1.2crore acquired by a student this year. Almost around 90 per cent of students get placed in KIIT. After the degree, I will apply for a software engineering company and work as a software engineer.
Fees and Financial Aid
Per semester 1,75,000 and the hostel is 22,500 and other expenses are also there like the laptop and books. These are dynamic prices every year it changes. if you rank under 100 they will provide you with a scholarship worth 10000.
Campus Life
Life in KIIT will be one of the most memorable days of your life. Every year we have a tech fest and annual fest, which happens mostly in the month of February. One of the largest libraries in the world has all the books available over here. Kiit is mostly famous for its sports and extra curriculum activities with everything available here.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel is really good, I am recently staying in kp-14, and the best part is that it has an attached bathroom which is very good. Servants come during the morning every day to clean the room and bathroom. The meal is good as compared to another hostel over hostel provide us with good food. During the admission process, the college will help you with the hostel registration process and everything. Don't take PG it will cost you more and there is no pg nearby kiit.
Admission
Just go to the website, and apply for the entrance exam - KIITEE. After the exam college will mail you regarding the entrance exam rank, and with that the college will guide you through the admission process and which course you should take as per the rank you have scored.
