Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I choose this course as I was interested to do so. The faculty ratio is around 15:1. The faculties are mostly PhD or M.tech ones. Teaching is good enough. Some are best and some are worse which is almost the same case in every other college. Exams are moderate and can be passed easily

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Companies such as CSG international, Fico, TVS motors, Triology, Schlumberger and many more. Most of the companies offer a role of SDE with a stipend starting from around 20 k upto 70k. The duration varies from 2/4/6 /12 months internship

Placement Experience

4

Campus placements are offered at KIIT. Intern placements start from like 6th semester onwards and the day 0 companies start coming from the 3rd week of the 7th semester. Almost all students get a decent placement with an average of 7-8 Highest package is 52 lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are a bit high compared to the facilities provided but it is fine if you can afford it. Scholarships are provided to the semester toppers and there are some other scholarships available ( you can go through them from the college site).

Campus Life

4.5

The campus is one of the best campuses in India. Kiitfest is the annual fest conducted. All the necessary books are available in the library. There is a separate infrastructure for each kind of sport ( cricket, football, hockey, basketball, rugby, tennis, and many more). Some of the clubs are IOT, KSAC

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel facilities are good enough. A study table chair and a bed are provided. The best part is the maintenance of hostels, you just have to write your complaint and the problem will be solved asap. Hostel prices are like 28k for 3 bed-non-ac, 50k for 3 bed-ac, 60k for 2 bed-ac. It is better to take a hostel instead of renting a room.

Admission

You have to give the entrance test (KIITEE). You can apply online (free) but the test will be conducted offline in different locations across India. The syllabus is the same as JEE mains. No reservation for OBC ( no idea about SC/ST). If you want to get CSE your rank needs to be under 6k.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs
