Course Curriculum Overview

4

The overall course curriculum is fair enough and similar to any other college including IITs, and NITs. What I can is that the teachers are good/bad/fair in every college, it just matters what the percentage of them are actually. Galgotias have somewhat good faculty members, most of them are good and very few are bad (not knowledgeable).

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Internship at our university is not like a cake walk, rather it's like a competition since there are a lot of students to grab it. So, basically, only your talents matter and nothing else. Projects that are given to us are not that much but it's considerable in amount. For example, consider a project where you need to make a website for a shopping mall near you. They make divided into 5-6 students per team and you have to present the products and presentation along with it to get the marks at CAT which adds to make your CGPA.

Placement Experience

3.5

90% of students got placed which is on the internet. But, as me a student out there I think 70-80% of placements are available and it depends on the student's talents rate which further fills out those available placements opportunities or not. One thing is for sure if you are skilled and talented enough you will get the jobs at a much higher package. Wipro, Max, GSK companies, Accenture, Airtel, TATA, Infosys, IBM, etc. are some of the companies which visited the campus. The highest package is usually around 20 Lakh and 6 Lakh is the average package. My plan is to you use the opportunities that the university provides related to my field and make to improve myself.

Fees and Financial Aid

For a year, it is Rs 161000, and almost Rs 671000 for the whole 4-year B.Tech program. Hike in course fees usually depends on the demand of the course but mostly it stays stable rather they increase the number of seat for that particular course. Scholarship: 25% scholarship for the first-year student whole got more than 93% and above in board exam, on the course fees (almost down to Rs 125000), UP govt. scholarship and a lot of other opportunities are there, you just need to know them at the right time and be aware of what's going on at University. Financial Assistance: Education loans are much easier to get. Job: A lot of companies visit our campus, truly saying most of them are mass recruiters but the University literally provides so many opportunities to an individual that if he/she has talents in his/her field, will be able to get a good job/startup benefits and other related stuff easier.

Campus Life

4

There are a lot of fests, tech fests (Ideathon, Hackerthon, and competition), and festival celebrations at our university. Literally, it happens every month. If you want exposure this might be one of the best universities out there, but if you don't like crowds it would be a bad choice. Libraries are up to the mark, even the latest research paper booklet is there in the library which makes me personally amazed. You can borrow any book, and have a good time at the library which provides the benefits that the student wants. Classmates and teachers are friendly (obviously there are some non-sense people everywhere). Sports and extracurricular activities are what I feel my university is best at it and I love them. They have clubs and societies which are so active and helpful to you for your growth. You can participate in it and you will have a good time spent there in competition, volunteering or helping others.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

University hostel infrastructure is great, you will don't have your personal bathrooms/ washrooms but per floor, there is a considerable amount of them. Food is bad and since the university is on the Yamuna highway and 13km away from the main area of Knowledge Park 2 from so it's worsening your situation to enjoy outings and it will make you feel like a jail. So, if you like going on outings and somewhat cities crowds atmosphere, you should not choose it. Compared to private hostels, it's a fair price for a student like Rs 110000 for 2 people/rooms while in nearby hostels like in Knowledge Park 3, you will get 3 people/room at Rs 120000. I chose the hostel in Knowledge Park 3 since there were no rooms left for the college hostel. Personally, I would suggest you to see a hostel/pg near knowledge park 2.

Admission

Admission to Galgotia University is relatively easy and anyone with more than 60% in the board exams has a high chance to get in there. But you can take admission through CUET and Jee Mains too. Also, the cut-off is almost negligible and it just depends on your board marks at last.

Other Applied Colleges

Chandigarh University - [CU] | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] (Computer Science and Engineering)

As compared to Galgotias University, I personally don't find that much opportunities as I found in this University.

Placement Experience:

Placements are both on and off-campus based. Placements are usually common for both IT and Non-IT students, Technical or Non-Technical. Students become eligible, in their final years to pursue internships or acquire placements. Usually students from Computer Science and Engineering avail more placement opportunities. The Medical Department have more options of Employability. Companies like HCL, Byju's, Extramarks, IBM and other local companies like Stambh Power Systems, Pieinfocomm and others have arrived. But the placement ratio needs to be increased. Off-Campus Placements are more successful. Highest Package can be 8lpa CTC to average package be 2.5lpa CTC, with profiles of assistance and associates. Atleast 30% students get placed on average. My plans are based on Learning in different ways.
