Course Curriculum Overview
The professors here are very helpful and understanding. Several students are also very less so proper attention is provided. Although some may feel each semester is very less if attention is paid in class properly, then the exams are not much difficult.
Internships Opportunities
In our curriculum (syllabus) an internship of 2 months is required. Students can choose their area, and institute of internship as per their preference and interest and needs to submit the outcome to the department.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees here are very affordable, around 4072 rupees per semester is needed to be paid. The examination fees are taken separately before the exam which is also minimal. Although the University does not provide any scholarship of its own, other government scholarships can be availed by students.
Campus Life
Each department has its own separate libraries, at a time a student can take two books. The libraries are well updated and all the books required can be borrowed from the library. Some CDs are also available. Various sports like badminton, cricket, etc. tournaments are also organized between various departments.
Admission
For admission to Calcutta University, Ballygunge Campus, in the case of general candidates, BSc marks are considered (marks of all CC, SEC, and DSE papers are added). The application forms are released during September and further selection takes place based on merit.
