Remarks

All the faculty members are well-trained and well-educated. There are about 150 faculty members available for teaching the students. There are many technicians, librarians, and their helpers who are always providing us with a good guidance. The campus is ragging-free and many teachers are in the anti-ragging squad. Mentorship is also available for all the students. The faculty is quite good. But all the teachers are not good. They don't take the classes and do not teach properly. They are quite short tempered. The lab faculty is really poor. They don't teach us and elaborate properly. So, we could not make many instruments work. The library faculty advisor is not very impressive.

Entrance Preview

FOR ADMISSON IN THIS COLLEGE i UNDERTOOK JEE MAINS EXAM AND MHT CET EXAM AS IT IS COMPULSORY TO TAKE BOTH THE EXAMS. I HAD PUT DR DYPSOET COLLEGE ON TOP PRIORITY ON THE CAP COLLEGE ALLOTMENT ROUND. I SCORED 125 IN JEE MAINS AND 150 IN MHT CET AND BAGGED THIS COLLEGE. I CHOSE CIVIL ENGINEERING AS IT IS THE HEART OF ALL ENGG. SCIENCES. IT IS THE FIRST AND OLDEST ENGG. DEPARTMENT OF THIS COLLEGE. AFTER THE COLLEGE ALLOTMENT I WENT TO THE COLLEGE PHYSICALLY AND FACED AN INTERVIEW WITH THE PRINCIPAL

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

THE COURSE STRUTURE IS FILLED WITH EMPHASIS ON RESEARCH WORK .One not only learns engineering but is also exposed to the tough environment of governmental procedures and this enhances EQ that is significant in the overall development of a person. One can opt for any internship or extra curriculum activites sponsored by the college. Industrial visits are rarely organised in a semester. the placement is better than other sister institutes. It offers ample job opportunities from industrial giants. More than 950 students were placed on the same campus. The highest paid was a female candidate of instrumentation and control stream with a package of 32 lakhs, highest in the history of the institute since 3 years.

Internships Opportunities

yes there are a variety of internships being offfererd by the college . strict for attendance, submissions, unit tests, internal marks. Their teaching methods are good as they clear out every doubt of yours. The course curriculum is always useful. The course curriculum always helps effectively in reaching the desired goals.

Placement Experience

3.5

The college supports any project or ideas adding to the academics. But the extra curricular activities are not that well-supported.Campus life would be hectic due to the tightly packed schedules of internals, labs, and various assignments, projects, etc. 7.5 CGPA cut-off for fee-waiver is another parameter determining student participation in various non-academic clubs and activities. For an ideal book-loving student, IIST would be the best option.

College Events

4.5

there are many events celebrated technova. pankh. akriti. new culture. x space launch pad is very rich in extracurricular activities. I assure that one will initially be astounded by seeing the number of events taking place in the college in almost every other day.

Fee Structure And Facilities

fee sreucture is quite feasible. at just rs 70k one dcan study engg. at my college. the college doesnt need a lot of money for that. All fees must be paid in one installment by DD in favor of “Principal, DYPSOETCollege of Engineering & Research, payable at Pune.” Refund of fees on cancellation of admission will be done as per the rules notified by the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, Mumbai.

Fees and Financial Aid

The placements for the last year 2016-2017 were very good. Almost all the students who met the eligibility criteria were placed. The eligibility criteria is: a) You need to have no 'active' backlogs. b) A minimum of 65% through out all the semesters. The students are being trained for the placements right from the 1st semester, and the placement officers are assuring us on placements. The average package is around 4 lacs. The highest package for the above mentioned year is said to be 11 lacs. The most prominent recruiters were TCS, HP, Dell, Capgemini, IBM and more. Placements are said to be good only for computer science and electronics departments. The university can definitely improve in the placement aspect.

Campus Life

4.5

The infrastructure is the best thing about this college. Well-maintained lawns, an open-air theatre, well-equipped labs, a state-of-the-art computerized library and an Internet browsing center make this University one of the most livable places. There are 2 or 3 bakeries scattered here and there in the campus, not to forget a dedicated Maggi shop. The food court of this college is said to be one of the largest in pune and offers delicious hygienic food at reasonable prices. There is a hospital inside the campus, also with an ambulance. The classrooms are decent and airy. The hostel rooms are clean and well-maintained. We have two grounds, cricket tournaments are held regularly, along with basket ball, badminton, and many other sports. I will rate 10/10 for the infrastructure.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The mess facility is also good. We get food 4 times a day. In some hostels, indoor games facility is available. The library in our college is good. There are varieties of food available in the canteen. Every floor has as water cooler but a few don't really work. There are three libraries inside the campus. Wi-Fi is available 24*7 but the speed is very low. The hostel rooms are really comfortable but it is not worth it.

Alumni/Alumna

alumni network is really strong .they keep on visiting the college for various programmes . every day there are guest lectures which are actually friends of our cillege alumni and have got successful .there are a thousands of aspiring stories of this college.

Exam Structure

exam structure is hectic. there are hardly any holidays in between two exams. there are mid sem exams and then end sem exams . exams are hectic as guided by the university. Campus life would be hectic due to the tightly packed schedules of internals, labs, and various assignments, projects, etc

Admission

I FIRST APPLIED FOR THIS COLLEGE IN ADMISSION ROUNDS.AFTER GETTING ALLOTTED THIS COLLEGE I WENT TO THE COLLEGE PHYSICALLY AND FACED AN INTERVIEW WITH THE PRINCIPAL.AFTER BEING SATISFIED THEY CALLED ME AGAIN ON THE NEXT DAY AND CONTINUED WITH THE BASIC DOCUMENTATION. THE ADMINISTRATION WAS VERY HELPFUL AND SUPPORTIVE.THEY HELPED ME IN GETTING ALL THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS READY TO SUBMIT TO THE COLLEGE.

Faculty

4

The faculty members are not much experienced though some of them are good. Mostly, experienced faculty members are in the civil department. Formechanical branches, faculty members are not very experienced but they are very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The student to teacher ratio is 15:1. The faculty team of this college is good. In my stream that is computer science, some teachers were really helpful and mentored us very well, while some were only concerned about their course and the learning process did not happen. A lot of the faculty members here are not passionate about teaching. Many of the teachers are Ph.D holders and have a good grip on the subject. They are confident and very helpful. No teacher here will deny clarifying your doubts. While you will have a very good experience with the faculty members, there are a few faculty members who are freshers and do not know much.
