Remarks

We all know as a student of our college that our college is not the best one there is many dark sides of our college as well but we are very happy to be a part of this college and id we get another opportunity to choose a college we will choose our college again.

Entrance Preview

Practically I did not take any entrance examination to get admission in this college. The admission in our college is made in the basis of the marks obtain by a candidate in higher secondary level(10+2).I got 89% in higher secondary(10+2)

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I think my course curriculum is very good and to the point and research structure of my college is one of the best in the region. We have separate lab room for each year of student in the each department and there is also advanced lab room which can be used by special permission from the professor.

Internships Opportunities

My college is a govt. base college. My college only offer a degree of particular course with a minimum fees. But my college does not provide internship from the college. But anyone who can studied in my college can make their career in their field after passing out from our college.

Placement Experience

1

As I mentioned before their is no opportunity for student to get a job from my college directly.Neither any company come to our college to offer job so I don't know how many students from our college is settled in any company. But I know that there is a large number of students passed out of our college and doing good in their respective field.

College Events

4

Our college celebrate almost every event. It starts from fresher party of our college which held one or two month after we join the college. Then there is teacher's day which is celebrated in every department separately .We celebrate the Birthday's of Rabindranath Tagore,Swami vivekananda we celebrate our Independence day and all other major events in India.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure of our college is very much affordable since it a government college students of every financial background can afford the fees of the college. The fees has to be paid once in the year for every students which cost almost 2000 Indian rupee.

Fees and Financial Aid

I have no idea of any kind of scholarship provided by our college but since we are studying in government college we get a government scholarship from west bengal government with a monthly package of 1500 Indian rupee.

Campus Life

3.5

Oh!Campus life is the best part of our life as of now we gather in the college every day attend class hang out it's just awesome. There is almost 4000 student in the college and there is almost 50 to 60 party member to help us if we need. In extra curricular activities we play cricket in the ground and there is a Seminar room in the college where anyone in the college can share his thought from any department and any student can attend the Seminar. Their is no issue such as religious disharmony, intolerance in our college we have one common identity we all are student and a citizen of India. We discuss politics in our college but in a good way and all the students of our college are come from middle class or lower middle class background.

Hostel Facilities

3

Our college has a hostel but I don't stay in the hostel because my house is near to my college. But some of my friend stay in the hostel and they shared me their experience with the hostel food.It is decent not as bad but you literally can not compare the standard of those food with your homemade food

Alumni/Alumna

Senior students in our college is very friendly and supportive they help us every time we need.Specially seniors of our department is very helpful they share their experience when they are in our position.

Exam Structure

As our college is a government college so the exam structure is not decided by our college.I spite of that the exam structure of our college is not very tight which does not affect our life as much because the exams in our college is held one or two time in a year with plenty of time between two consecutive exam day.

Admission

At first I had to apply in this college online. Then a marit list was published in the basis of hs(10+2) marks and I was selected. Then I had to submit my certificates in the college for verification and then I got the fee book of the college which is the certificate of admission.

Faculty

3

Overall facility of my college is decent. All neseccary facilities are available in my college such as canteen,Garage,Toilet,Seminar room and the structure of the college system is very neat and clean which allow a students to focus on their without any disturbance.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Completely relevant. As the college is autonomous it has its own syllabus. Which matches with the net gate jam exam syllabus. When someone came our college for seminar they strange that we know this much. Exam are quite difficult in 2 months interval.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
