Remarks

Overall college management is very good. Suggestions are they can implement different teaching methods and increase the no. of companies that are coming to hire students from the campus. Few product companies and core industries will be a good addition.

Entrance Preview

I had passed +2 state board examination with good cutoff of 185/200. I went through counselling taken under anna university. For my cutoff I had 2 choices in my college(IT or EIE); As i was not sure about anything my teacher recommended Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering and I took it.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Anna university course curriculum is good but time between each semester is a little bit less. It provides a beginner to advanced understanding of each domain in a particular stream. It improved my knowledge and skills. Practical courses were good but it doesn't goes beyond the scope to learn more. One should learn on their own if they want to but unfortunately there is not enough time to study the syllabus itself.

Internships Opportunities

Around 40% people get internships. The average stipend is around 15K INR. Usually students opting for internships will be low.

Placement Experience

3.5

Decent placements for all the batches. If you want to go to IT firm, it's easy because there will be a lot of IT companies like Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, etc. that come for placements. But if you want to choose other firms apart from IT, it is very tough to be placed as only a few companies will come and the number of recruitment also will be very low. Coming to the number of students placed every year, it totally depends on the IT companies' requirements every year. The highest salary is around 40K INR (product companies). The lowest salary is around 15K INR (some core companies) and the average salary is around 24K INR. The roles offered are software developer and tester in IT firms.

College Events

3

Various events will be conducted on a regular basis. Each and every department will conduct their own symposium and there will be a lot of prizes for those win in specific events. Students from various colleges also participate and win in competitions conducted by my college departments. Cultural is also conducted every year and it was named 'PRATIYOG' which was a 2 to 3 days of celebration and various entertainment activities.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is very flexible compared to the facilities the college provide. It was like worth for money. Good food, Great Infrastructure, Descent placements, Bus travel or Hostel room everything is maintained properly. Perfect college for middle class family students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are provided by anna university and in my college they help students from poor background and they offer a reduction in fees price for them or give them sufficient amount of time to pay. They also recommend loans to take from Indian Bank present inside the campus.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is good, somewhat strict rules like mobile not allowed, should not speak to opposite gender and dress codes. But believe me all those will help one to shape into a good person in life. Gender ratio is almost 1:1. Diversity is a little bit low as most of the people will come from the same state. They give importance to sports students and fees will not be collected from them. Good, Healthy food and proper training is given to them at free of cost.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostel facilities were good and proper cleaning is done daily. Each room has 4 beds and it was spacious too. Mess food is good with average hygiene level since made in large quantities. Since mostly south India people are studying in my college; delicious veg and non veg foods are available throughout a week. Food is provided 2 times for day scholars and 3 times for hostelers. Tea breaks are also there.

Alumni/Alumna

Every year from various batches people will come to the alumni meet and I saw people still in contact with each other. Senior students help their juniors for getting job opportunities.

Exam Structure

More importance is given to theoretical exams and it is conducted very frequently. Lab exams are conducted twice before each semester. Exam structure will be first unit test, second unit test, third unit test, pre modal exams. Attending this exams will make one's confidence level high to face the semester exam.

Admission

After counselling, I went to college and they mentioned the rules to be followed while inside college with fees explanation. For me since i am not a first graduate from my family, I had to pay 90K INR/year which includes bus travel, food(2 times a day) and Teaching fees(no extra money needed to pay; just once in a year). Then I submitted my SSLC and HSC certificates for verification and joined the college.

Faculty

3.5

Some staff members are highly knowledgeable and some are not. No special teaching methods are involved apart from placement training. The student to faculty ratio is 60:1. Industry exposure is provided but it is in their own industries. Practical courses were explained clearly by the faculties. Faculties will be there in college on time and mostly no one will take leave and even if they do that period will be taken by someone else.
