Course Curriculum Overview

3

The course is divided into 6 semesters, each semester comprising 6 subjects. Each subject has 6 credits based on 100 marks (70 written+20 mid sem written test+10 presentation) The faculty has around 50 faculty members and 1100 students. The faculty has enough members but some subjects have no good professors at all, We have some excellent professors for criminal law, constitution, IPR, labor law, etc. I joined BHU because all subjects that are asked in judicial service exams are covered first in 3 semesters so you get 3 semesters to revise them.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Since my course is law internships are available with law offices and courts and legal service authorities. And faculty will help students in getting these. District legal service internships are very easily available to students.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are not too much it is around 2500 per year and the hostel is around 2000 so the fee is not high. Living cost in Varanasi is also not very high. A hostler student could service in 5000 and non hostler could do the same in 6000 to 7000. There are government scholarships. For LLB they will send you emails regarding placements and internships but recruiters are more inclined towards BALLB. And students of LLB themselves do not apply for placements because they either do judiciary or litigation.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is excellent, we have a green 1300-acre campus with lacs of trees, several playgrounds and a swimming pool, a gym, and all kinds of sports. Fest and different clubs are also there depending on interest in things.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The room has a one-bed table and chair. 2 people live in a room and some rooms are less spacious in old hostel but on the other hand, the old hostel has its own gardens and separate playgrounds. Hostel mess is an ok type. 3 days you will get paneer or non-veg. The hostel has no specific registration process it is alloted on merit.

Admission

Any graduate in any discipline with minimum 50% marks could apply for the entrance exam. In the present-day scenario, the exam is CUET conducted by NTA. Forms of this are generally filled in March or April. Cut-offs were not disclosed officially. Improvement– counseling should be joint like IIT because after passing CUET you have to go to all universities and pay fees for their counselling.

Overall experience of the campus is very good. I really enjoy the studies as well as other extra-curricular activities. I am glad that I took admission here as I experience many things that I wouldn't have been able to experience in any other university. Nice friendly and peaceful atmosphere in the campus makes it the best campus. Although the placements is still a worry for us but lets hope we get the best results.
