Remarks

The college is good for IT and Computer Science engineering and Placements in IT sector is good but rest is not that good and very below expextations

Entrance Preview

I wrote entrance exam AIEEE back in the days and didnt not score too well. So i thought to do my engineering from Pune university. I gave this college(PCCOE) a visit and thought at first that it is a god college when i saw all the buildings from outside but these different buildings were different colleges run in a small space all together for different courses. Then i got selected for this college through ARC rounds. There were no interview processes for this college. I wanted to study Computer Science but i landed up doing Electronics and telecommunication which is not worth at all.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I landed up talking electronics and telecommunication thinking it to be a core branch but it was a horrible mistake. The curriculum and sparing a few the staff is not at all good and they don't know how to deliver lectures and their English is very poor. There is almost no practical learning. The labs are very smaller in size and equipment are very few in numbers and the whole practical group do not gate chance to perform the practical and only few students are able to do it.No research initiatives are taken by the institute whatsoever. The electives are RTOS,PLC,AVE, Broadband Communication Systems which are interesting subjects and the staff is also good for it.

Internships Opportunities

No the college doesn't provide any kind of internship. You have to find an internship of your own. I didn't go through any internship

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement scenario is ok but only IT and Computer Science students get placed in bulk as only IT companies come for the recruitment purpose. Only a few companies come for other branches and most of the students end up in IT companies unwillingly as there is no other choice. The major companies which came for mass recruit was KPIT Cummins. The average package was 3.25 lacs

College Events

3

Theere are two technical fest. For first years students its called spectrum and for others there is a fest called Teclligent. The cultural fest is called Swartarang. They are all held mostly at college level only. The college gives limited funding for all the events that take place in the college

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fees is not worth at all as far as the infrastructure they provide. They charge very high sums of money. Fees currently is about 1 lac per annum for almost all four years and this will only increase in future

Campus Life

2

College mainly focusses on academics and very little on extracurricular. I didnt get any opportunity to explore my inner talent. The facilities are not good

Hostel Facilities

2.5

I stayed in the hostel for only a year which was the old hostel and now there are new hostels which are good. The old rooms are tiny as a bathroom but the new ones are good. All rooms are on sharing and there are no single rooms. PG's are there around the hostel but they are private PG's the college doesn't have any tie-ups with them. I paid around 25k for one semester. The food was pathetic and in hostel its compulsory to take the Mess service and that is very bad. The food quality is very low

Alumni/Alumna

Alimni network is good. People just go to US who can afford to study abroad after studying here they know they committed a mistake. alumni meet are there for the interaction but vey few people come fo it. The alumni are good and come to th college whenevre asked but they are very few in number

Exam Structure

The exams has a good pattern but the labs are not good and equipment are very limited which makes the experience very bad and all the students don't get a chance to perform the practicals. No chill culture is there in this college(PCCOE)

Faculty

3

Only a few handful of faculties are well qualified and rest are not even up to the mark. The faculty are not much interactive and don't use live examples at all. The standard of teaching overall is poor and no practical knowledge is given in this institution. Some teachers are over 10 yrs experience and the rest who are experienced also don't possess the quality of teaching

The campus placement is decent in the college as compare to other colleges of the city . many companies visited the college every year to hire the skillful engineers from the college and offer them a good amount of package. The option of the offcampus palcement is also there for the students of the other colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
