Course Curriculum Overview
The term exams are usually late. There are two semester and there is no provision of midterms. The marks are divided as Internal-25, External -75, The odd semester is descriptive and there are 10 questions in the paper and you have to answer any five. The even semester are objective where 150 questions are asked and you have to do only 75. The questions are easy and a lot of helpful books are also available which will make you score well.
Internships Opportunities
As a Bcom student with a total of students registered under course 850, there is a lot of competition for any small opportunity. The company like HCl, Mahindra, and some private companies do offer internships and on a regular basis, there are internship camps organized by central placement cells in which students can apply for internships and get assured offer letters.
Placement Experience
As I very keen to learn marketing and graphic design I am thinking of pursuing mba for the same but only after getting done experience by working in any organisation. I am also pursuing company secretary course and I happen to clear that then I might work in that field but mba is my end goal.
Fees and Financial Aid
The people for schedule cast, obc ets are provided with various scholarships as per their marks and there is a gerberal up govt scholarship which is provided to all but as my Father is a government employees I couldn't avail the same. There is interdepartmental intership paid unpaid both for which you should have good academic background and lot of companies do offer private intership with minimal stipends. The fees structure has been constant throughout the years.
Campus Life
There are lot of social groups in the university but you won't get the same vibes that you will observe in du colleges. There is poetry club called kavyaom, the poestic enthusiasts are part of it. I am part of nukkad natak club as a social media manager we go all over India for nukkad performance and have won good recognition. There is photography, dance, and debate club too.
Admission
So basically I filled out an online form which charged around 1000 on the University of Lucknow website and the entrance exam took place in September. There was a huge rush as a lot of people applied (around 10000) and seats were limited on the main campus. The questions in the entrance were related to math, business, economics, and computer and it was an OMR based. The answer key was released in a week and cutoffs were declared after a month counseling began after that in which students were to pay 500 which was refundable and had to select the colleges they wanted to opt for. I only selected the main campus. People also get reservation benefits in the cutoffs and ranking.
Other Applied Colleges
Delhi University - [DU] | Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com]
As I am also doing an additional course university of lucknow seemed to be more favourable as attendance is not compulsory here.
