Remarks

It's a good choice if you want to experience a decent college life.

Entrance Preview

As an engineering student, the most easy way to come and land in this college was to give an engineering entrance exam and get a sear here. For the other courses besides engineering, one can contact its admission cell for the further admission process which is quite easy.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I chose computer science. Practical and theoretical learning ratio is 2:3. As an engineering student, curriculum is quite feasible which helps the students to cope up with the whole course and build a strong base.

Internships Opportunities

In particular college doesn't provide any internships but the students who got placed in the particular companies has done their internship from that particular companies.

Placement Experience

4

Placement session is good this year as in 2017 but not exceptional as compared to. the last 2 years. Around 50 percent of students got placed this year till now. Microsoft, Amazon, shopclues, Vmware, wipro, delloite, LTI, IBM were one of the major. companies that visited our college. Average package this was was around 4 lakhs.

College Events

3.5

Our own technical and cultural fest named PARIVARTAN is being held every year. It's a 2 day event in which around 5-6k students visit every year of our college and other campus of our college. Authorities manage this whole fest really well in terms of spending money.. otherwise the whole fest is organized and managed by the students

Fee Structure And Facilities

In comparison with the other colleges nearby or in the region it is quite affordable. As in the other private colleges the fee structure of the engineering courses can go upto 50k-80k but here it is 43k per semester to be precise.

Fees and Financial Aid

Yes, our college do provide scholarships from time to time. There are different schemes which our college introduces to the students.

Campus Life

4.5

Our college really healps a lot in terms of recognizing the talent of the student whether its a workshop or any kind of seminars, if it is an event or any type of competition college organizes everything and helps the students.

Hostel Facilities

3

The hostel fees is around 70k a year. No, the college doesn't provide single room to anybody but min 2 students are there in some hostel rooms and on the max 4 are allowed. The hostel food is not that impressive but the wifi fills up that void for sure.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumini interaction is not at the level at which it is to be supposed. No culture of alumni interaction.

Exam Structure

In the whole semester, the students have to give exams only 4 times i.e 3 are minors of 24 marks each and one is major of 60marks.

Faculty

4

In the starting year, students might find that the faculty is not as good as they expected but after the first year, the whole lot of the teachers change and usually there are much more experienced teachers then the first years. Teachers here are interactive and always helps the students in whatever way possible. The standards of teachers are pretty good.

NITJ has a placement cell, also known as the Centre of Training and Placements(TPO office of NITJ). The placement scenes differ depending on the courses offered. The average placements are 12-14LPA in the Computer Science branch. Every year, hundreds of companies, including Pvt and govt both. PSUs like HPCL and BPCL recruit students based on merit and academic excellence.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

Placements are not that good. Although companies come, there is a lack of mass recruiters or reputed organizations. One has to grind hard here for placements. If you're a CS student, you will have to face immense competition here. As for core branches, placements are severely dry. Students gets eligible in 4th year onwards for placements. Some of recruiters here are Trident, TCS, Reliance, Sonalika and other few. Every company offers around 10-15 selected students for a job. Highest package ever was 15LPA and average is 3.2LPA. Percentage placed is only around 15% here. My plans after the degree are to apply for govt exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The interest in coding influenced me to choose this subject and course. The curriculum gets me ready for a 9-5 job which kind of gets hectic. The teachers could maybe schedule classes to give the students time to study what they want to and if they wish to do a course outside the university they have the time to do so rather than just going by the university curriculum
