Remarks

The college is a peaceful place which allows you to grow as an individual only if you're open to new experiences instead of cribbing over the small features of the college you don't like as much. The campus is beautiful and you feel at peace within in. The lectures are homely but the general trend that has been followed is that only if you are academically sound can you manage pursuing other avenues.

Entrance Preview

I came in through the management criteria. I was made aware of the college through a relative who passed out from here. I was interested in the technology aspects of our current world, which led me to choose Computer Science and Engineering as my field.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

CS is one of the larger, more emphasized branches of the college. Majority of the course is theory-oriented but the lectures often try to inculcate practical examples. There haven't been any research initiatives from our batch yet. Coming into the third year, we had a choice between picking Advanced Java(J2EE) and Object Oriented Modeling and Design. In the open electives field, we were given the options Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, DotNet (C++)

Internships Opportunities

The college hasn't provided an internship yet. The college does grant permission in regards to attendance if you wish to pursue an internship outside college, but from within college, no such initiative had been started yet.

Placement Experience

3.5

300+ students got placed with the last outgoing batch of our college. The placements were maintained at a fair average with a few peak companies offering great packages. Adobe, VMWare, ITC, etc. we're some of the companies that conducted their placements.

College Events

3.5

In the even semesters, we have the annual Tiara fest which is the College Tech fest. The fest is conducted over two days with a Tech-Night and the College Day celebrations also taking place over those days. Sports day celebrations also happen in close proximity to these events. The major participation for these events is intra-college itself. Besides that, each second year batch is given a branch entry inauguration. Each department also conducts their own tech event over the course of the semester.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees for a management-entry student is approximately 2.1lakh p.a

Fees and Financial Aid

The college accepts all government related scholarships. The college also awards their own scholarships to meritorious or financially-hindered students .

Campus Life

3.5

The facilities for exploring your talents are present and well-maintained. But the college emphasizes on ensuring that you balance out academics with extra-curricular activities. Our college is fairly academics-driven but if you open yourself up to trying new things and enjoying whatever extracurricular activities that the college plans, then it can be very fulfilling.

Hostel Facilities

3

I reside in the hostel. The hostel rooms are spacious and the corridor and bathrooms are cleaned regularly. Each room is shared among two people however each floor has one room with single occupancy. No, there are just three hostels in campus. One for the boys, one for the girls and one for the post graduation students. I currently pay 25 thousand for the year excluding the monthly mess bill which comes up to 2.5-3k. The food is generally good and other than the repetitive nature of the mess, no complaints can be had about the hostel.

Exam Structure

The culture tends to be quite relaxed until the first internal is conducted. Post those exams, the volume of assignments, exams, lab internals increase quickly, often leaving the students progressively tired as the semester progresses.

Faculty

3.5

Majority of the faculty have completed their engineering degrees with some having gone further with pursuing their Masters and doctorates. They are open to clearing doubts if any but with the initiation of the CBCS scheme with our current batch, completing the syllabus in the allotted time becomes quite a challenge.

Excellent placement training and reputed companies visit the campus. I had received offers from three companies which reflects the quality of opportunities available. Placement is one of the college's biggest strength. Student with no backlog and good academic records will get easily placed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The aspects like: we had 2 internal exams in the semester and after completing these internal exams roughly at the 5th month we had practical exam + end semester exams, these exams would be mainly theory based inclusing some conceptual based questions & based on our understanding only, we can able to write the answers. One thing, I would suggest was we shall give more weightage to the practical based learning, that too during our days we were just the beginning of AI & Iot era was effectively going on, if we had some advanced eductaion covering these aspects we would have got the opportunity to shine more in our carrers. As a student, we faced slight diffuclities and challenges matching the real-life happenings with the acdemics, that would be one of the shortcoming I can say.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I feel the curriculum is well planned, balanced and easy to follow. We start with the basics and along with theory there's a good amount of coding practice, assignments, and hands on learning. I like that the course isn't just about passing exams, it also focuses on building skills that will be useful later for internships and placements. So far it feels relevant, practical and not overwhelming for someone who's just starting out.
