Likes
- The college provides a good supportive environment and a good campus infrastructure
- We have separate buildings for separate branches , with good experienced lecturers.
- The boys and girls ratio in my branch is around 6:1 , for every 6 boys we a have a girl , quite less but in other branches we 1:2 ratios which is goood for an engineering college.
Dislikes
- Canteeen can be improved , since the same menu throughout the year.
- The playground is far from the departments , we need to walk more to reach the play ground.
- And the hostel for boys is so compact , they could have made another building for boys hostel.
Course Curriculum Overview
Civil is one of the mother braches in engineering where it provides a lot different variety of job opportunities for us , especially in our college they also teach us the codeing, different software language where it helps us in finding the jobs in it sectors , also they have a huge variety of job opportunity.
Internships Opportunities
Actually im still in my 2nd year that is 3 rd semester,still I haven't got any internship experience for now , but we usually have a group of lecturers comming for us to give knowledge and prepare us for our amplitude test for our placement exams.
Placement Experience
1:from 6 sem students are eligible for campus placement 2:al khaleej , al taurus , L&T , Google ,Infosys, MRPL everyone offer packages around 5-10 lpa 3:our highest package is 29lpa 4:100 percentage of our students get placements
Fees and Financial Aid
Actually i joined this college not as a management student but as a CET student, i wrote CET and then i got this college , at first I applied for yenepoya, sahyadri engineering college in manglore itself , but I didn't like that colleges much and then I visited sjec manglore where the campus are good , college with experienced lecturers and supportive environment. My annual fees is 1,05,000 and 2000 rupees per university exam , and no more extra expenses
Campus Life
We have 2 annual festivals one is named as "milan" and other as "ti-ara" where whole campus becomes like a whole new world to enjoy one and every moment , Our every clss rooms come with a projector ,fans ,AC and a board , Also we have a sports day every year , where every classes participate in that and win prizes, also we have very huge variety of clubs
Admission
I had applied for yenepoya engineering college manglore, aj institute of tech manglore, sahyadri engineering college manglore , and SJEC manglore. Where then I selected SJEC manglore for the reasons 1. Good campus , filled with greenery and a good infrastructured campus 2. Friendly behaviour, from the management, lecturer, etc 3. Anti- raging campus , our campus is free from raging 4.our college is the best engineering college from the coastal karnataka , where provides a lots of company for job .
Faculty
Faculty, lecturers everyone are very friendly specially in the civil branch , they help us in every possible ways they can , also our HOD is one ot the most experienced lecturer in our college , he has been senior lecturer for more than 20 years also his teaching style and the way he explains is very comfortable for us . In every sem we have 2 internals and one semester exams , in engineering we have a totao of 8 sem exams and 16 internals
