Top notch faculty who are very experienced in their fields.
Facilities like library, wifi, reading rooms,are wonderful

Course Curriculum Overview

Obviously I chose mbbs to become a Doctor. I. Osmania faculty is very good. And there are minimum 1:5 faculty to student ratio. There are 2 internals and 1 pre finals before writing the finals. Thery are pretty hard and the practicals are taught very well.

Internships Opportunities

Internship is integrated part of MBBS as everybody knows. We geat paid 25k permonth approximately while doing internship in hospitals affiliated to osmania medical college. Examples are OGH, sarojini devi eye hospital, ent hospital, etc

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees structure is that we have to pay 17k in first year. From second year the fee is 10k for us. In intership we are paid 25k per month approximately. So as this is a free seat the fee is pretty low.i don't recieve any scholarships .

Campus Life

There's a huge library and study rooms for uninterrupted studies. We have wifi facility in our college campus. The classromms are quite spacious. OSMECON is an annual research competition which is conducted in osmania medical college every year. Other than that there are various sports events like CAPS, OPL, etc. And obviously Beats that is our annual day.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel room are pretty neat and we'll maintained. Each room has 3 members. The hostel fee is approximately 10k per year. The mess bill is 3500 per month The taste is pretty good. Registration process for hostel can be completed in a day.

Admission

We should write neet after class 12. We should qualify with good marks to get a free seat.Reservations can be availed. In Telangana the cut off I'd some what low compared to other states. In private colleges there are three categories free seat ,B cat ,C cat.

I loved the campus ,its soooooo green and peaceful,
Ig compared to other clgs,teaching here is better
I feel very safe inside the campus ,but its too strict

Dislikes

Over strictness,u will have curfew ,u are not allowed to go out of the campus without permissions,u have to wear uniform,too many restrictions
I feel that the management should have more coordination
Restrictions, u are not allowed to bring phones to the classrooms ,if found u will have 10k fine

Well Our faculty does tell us their personal experiences while explaining topics And Coming to timings for exams Well U will have to write many slip tests and assignments And u will have to pass ur internals to write proff exams

The hospitals affiliated to medical college have an excellent patient flow, there are 4 hospitals of malla Reddy in the campus, there's a Narayana multi-speciality hospital, mother & child care hospital, malla Reddy hospital and cancer hospital.
There are more than sufficient sports activities available at the college, there is a huge football ground and cricket ground, turf, basketball court badminton court and table tennis
The food in the mess is really great, non-veg food is served daily, there are a lot of food stalls of cafes and other major brands inside the campus like Barista. The lecture halls, practical labs and classrooms are well maintained and spacious.

Dislikes

The vegetarian dishes made in lunch usually suck, but I'd say in comparison to other hostels, the hostel of this college serves edible food, but in comparison to non veg dishes the vegetarian dishes don't taste that good, so veg people face problems
There's a lot of construction going on in the campus as of now, which makes the campus look aesthetically non-pleasing, but it's only for the time being as it recently got converted to deemed University they are upping the standard of the infra.
The hostel room given to some of the boys are relatively bad to the other hostel rooms. We weren't given tables, cupboards and chairs when we arrived at hostel, after a month we were provided all the basic necessities.

Likes

Things I liked in my college is freedom its not too strict students have the freedom to explore and learn, there is no place for partiality.
The staff in college is extraordinary crystal clear concepts will be delivered to students.
The environment of college is quite peaceful to learn and its neither too far or too near to the main city making it accesible to students.

Dislikes

The main problem I have encountered is food theres a routine schedule in mess which bores students and they end up ordering food from outside

The curriculum of the college is extraordinary it prepares us for the real world difficulties. The hospital provides us with lot of expousre we learn to deal with them. The frequency of exams is apt for students enabling us finish and portion and learn thoroughly.

Likes

Faculties are highly qualified and way of teaching is impressive
Infrastructure is very well developed and new with well equipped lab and refreshment areas.
Connectivity from various major citiea are easy as college is just 2 hrs away from Vijayawada and Hyderabad

Dislikes

Climate us very hard to adjust with. Its mostly dry and hot
Local language is a bit hard to learn and most locals are very less educated
Syllabus is very vast and so there are very regular classes which feels quite tiring.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The fact that this course provides you a very dignitorial position in society attracts me the most into it. The financial benefits are also quite impressive. The curriculum extending for 5.5 years provides you all the required knowledge to practice as a general doctor in the country. There is a total of 19 subjects for 4.5 years in total. 1 year rotatory internship in various clinical department in affiliated hospital gives you very good clinical exposure also. The internship here is stipended by ?26000-/- per month. Every year mcc is renewing the syllabus according to to demands of indian medical system. Frequency of exams are quite adjustable upto rth year. 4th year is quite hectic and tiring with syllabus.

It’s just college life

Likes

It has an equal boys to girls ratio and gives us many opportunities to interact and also learn from my classmates. The playgrounds are always available and it has space to walk. The hostel is comfortable and it provides us with healthy food.
The teachers are very helpful in answering doubts and also even if we approach them for basic problems like even hot water they help us lead to the solution and make us believe everything is okay or soon will be fine.
The friends I have made help me from getting overwhelmed when I am homesick and also study with me which gives all of us confidence.

Dislikes

As I have dust activity it actually is a bit of a problem due to the construction work going on and there is dust everywhere but the classes are provided with Acs which help me deal with it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is made according to our ability to grasp when we come out of our board exams. The first year might be considered a little touch but it in general is quite different and I personally enjoy studying it . Exams are a bit stressful but if a person has already studied then the tension gets distributed and it feels like nothing.

I also applied for Gandhi medical College,kakatiya medical College and esi medical College for obgy post graduation. I choose osmania as my first option because 1) we get many chances to do lscs than other colleges mentioned above as per my research of colleges. 2)i completed my mbbs from osmania,so Im well versed with the conditions of hospital. Then I opted for Gandhi as 2nd option because Gandhi medical College also has good amount of exposure and facilities are better than osmania medical College as it is new college in comparison to osmania. Gandhi medical College has advantage of getting high risk cases mainly.you will get privilage to various other cases in obstetrics.But the hands on is less than osmania. As a pg in surgical branch we need to have more hands on than exposure to high risk cases. I didn't opted for any other college because all I want is to do obgy from osmania medical College To join the college,you need to attend neet pg exam conducted every year once.For securing obgy pg seat in osmania your rank should be 3k to 6k ....Read More
