Remarks

No remarks as such. Till now my experience with the college has been a really memorable one. The rest, they say, future will tell!

Entrance Preview

Entrance to the college is done through MH CET, the exam so many other aspirants from all over Maharashtra write. Then there is the usual CAP round and everything. I was enthralled by the infrastructure that I observed in an around the campus. For the first time I believed I had landed in the right place.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I am a student of ENTC department. Some of my peers did suggest right from day one that it would be a lot better if I changed branch for good, however I am a man of my word. So I don't keep on shifting places, something that I dislike completely. The department tries it's level best to enhance the best capabilities of the individual.

Internships Opportunities

No till now I haven't taken any internship but plan to do so in near future. However the college does have an MoU signed with Internshala

Placement Experience

5

Placements is something the college is actually well known for. Rawandale Sir is aptly called the TnP officer of Maharashtra. A lot of companies come for placements to the college which makes it really reputed in the region. Some neighboring colleges even send their students to PCCOE for off campus placements. The prominent companies are KPIT, TCS, Bombardier etc

College Events

3.5

Their are a lot of events organised at first year level. However in the subsequent years the number of events decreases. Then even for the few which come from outside, you may not be able to take either due to lack of time or lack of money, both of which are quite common

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees is kept low in compliance with the norms of the university. It is affordable so that even students from the middle class can join the college and avail the excellent facilities provided by the college. The management also considers the demands of any other people who come visiting and makes appropriate adjustments to the fee structure if and when necessary

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are provided to meritorious and needing students. We have special SDW cells also for the welfare of backward classes. The college management goes all out in extending an helping hand to its students

Campus Life

5

Each subject has got an extra 25 marks which are for extra curricular activities. The more activities you participate in, the more certificates you get and the marks you get will also subsequently improve

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel rooms and supporting infrastructure are kept neat and tidy by a dedicated team of cleaning staff. The rooms are provided on sharing basis. For first years, there is enough accommodation for all applying students which later on turns into merit basis and/or first come first serve basis. The rooms are periodically dusted and cleaned. The rooms for first years have attached washrooms and for later years they have common washrooms. The responsibility for cleanness of the rooms rests with their respective occupants

Alumni/Alumna

I do have contact with many Alumni of the college who are now well placed in the industry. They offer me guidance in various aspects and nuances of life. However, there is no step in this direction from the college itself. There is no as such alumni network or something like in other colleges

Exam Structure

The college is a little frantic when it comes to exams. Since it does have high accreditation standards, they periodically asses students and provide them grading on the same. It does become tiring and exhaustive at the end of the day though. Sometimes they keep their theory UTs (yep, school style Unit Tests if you prefer calling them that way) along with objective exams. Then they have mid term submission, progressive assessment - the list goes on

Faculty

3.5

The college has the reputation of having highly experienced faculty which are learned in various disciplines. The faculty also encourage the students to undergo research and development in their areas of interest. For select and meritorious students, they even encourage to go for paper publication as well. The faculty in almost all departments are completely documented on ERP as well

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Placement Experience:

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
