Course Curriculum Overview

5

I have choosed this course because there are many ways after graduation and also has many scopes of jobs after completion of graduation. In our college faculty student ration about 1:2. Head of our department completed MTech from University of Calcutta. And there is one faculty member who completed PhD in abroad. Beside them there is one part time lecturer professor also. And 2 more. The process of teaching of every professor is awsome. They are friendly in nature as well as helpful. HOD of our department supports us every time and do supporting jobs for whom are economically weaker. As our college is under University of Calcutta and the course consists of 6semester. Internal and tutorial exam are held before 1month of semester exam. As our professor teaches us very deeply for any topic that's why it is not so difficult to pass the exam. Lab facility is also good. There are 20 sits for this course in our college and per person get one computer individually.

Fees and Financial Aid

Application fees for this course is about rs3500. And semester fees about 5000 . Swami Vivekananda Scholarship is available for this course. Many job related sessions were held in our college. Anudip Foundation,Rice foundation came to our college every year to give job assistance. If anyone has any financial problem college would help this student and reduce the semester fees also.

Campus Life

5

Annual fest is held around the month of March -April in every year. One can get almost every books from the library. There are so many advantages in our classroom. Per person get individual computer for practise. Beside this one can practise at any time when the lab is empty. Hardware lab also consists many instruments. Sports and extra curricular activities are also done in our college like run, carram etc. Indoor and outdoor games are held here every year. NCC camp is done in our college.

Admission

One must have Mathematics and Computer Science or Mathematics and Physics as subjects in class 12th. Cut off is dependent on the results of the students who have applied . One can get application form from cyber cafe and can fill it up in online mode. Application process starts after the declaration of 12th board result. Application fees of this course is around rs. There are some reservations for SC,ST,OBC,EWS categories. Interface of the application form can be modified. If Subject change related process can be done in online it will be beneficial.

Placement Experience:

People who major in my department usually opt for masters over placement not because of this college but because overall industrial or academic opportunities are better with a pg degree. Masters from this college is not recommended as i have heard so from my seniors. Some of my seniors managed to crack competitives and secure MSc seats at great places. Training and Placement cell had a good coordinator previously but now its almost non existent. Companies do come and hire Bpharm, Mpharm and MSc candidates. Packages are below average. Only Nestle pays well. But if you do well you'll eventually climb up the corportate ladder. From the time i am here i have not heard of any BSc candidate getting placed. Most go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

The average package offered for such roles ranges between ?2–3 LPA, while the highest package offered to a BSc student is around ?4 LPA, depending on skills and specialization. Overall, around 15–20% of BSc students get placed through campus drives, and many students rely on off-campus opportunities.

The course is very relevant as it provides us an overall knowledge of biology and not dividing it into various sections rather giving us an insight of every aspect of biology. It includes everything such as microbiology, zoology, botany, physiology, molecular biology and so on.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Completely relevant. As the college is autonomous it has its own syllabus. Which matches with the net gate jam exam syllabus. When someone came our college for seminar they strange that we know this much. Exam are quite difficult in 2 months interval.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum was well thought out as per me but there were subjects that i found absolutely unnecessary. Subjects like history evs and clc were in no way related to my course. Coming to the main subjects Design, Printing, Photography and film and Media Training were absolutely necessary for my course and whilst the faculty for some of these subjects were really bad, some were good. It is also important to mention none of these subjects actually helped us prepare for the real world. Instead internships and freelance helped us more than these subjects could ever do. Exams were held bi monthly to keep track of what we learnt and every 6 months we had our semester exams. Overall if you want to be a media professional INTERNSHIPS AND JOBS WILL HELP YOU MORE THAN A COLLEGE WILL. I am biased on this opinion as my college didnt provide me with the correct guidance and support i needed to make it in the real world.

Placement Experience:

In case of computer science department, placement is provided at the Last year of M.sc course. Many companies like Wipro, b10x, Tata visited here. Highest package ever is three lakh per annum. 20-40% of the students got placement after completing M.Sc computer science. My plan after B.sc is to pursue MCA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

* It's all about practical knowledge, we are getting from this course and another aspect is if you wants to make your career in research or lecturer then you should go for it. *No changes required in teaching methods but if college will provide hostel facilities and campus requirement drive, then it will better for candidates.
