Course Curriculum Overview

3

This is one of the few colleges to have Chemical Engineering in my neighbourhood. The faculty and student ratio is said to be 20:1. The chemical engineering department has been of 5 professors and 1 HOD. The faculties are extremely experienced with some being exposed to industrial works. Each of them has a wide knowledge of the research works and paper publications. The area of research for individual faculties differs in a wide range of scope. You can check that on the college website. Every faculty have completed phd and all have published more than 10 articles. The exams are comprised of 3 internals in each semester followed by one semester exam. The internal exams are quite easy to clear. You will be sent the study material through WhatsApp or will be given the reference book details by faculties.

Internships Opportunities

3

The internship programme offered by the institution is from a company with that hires people from every department who have some knowledge about programming. Those were given a stipend of 10k per month during the training programme right from the 3rd year itself.

Placement Experience

3.5

The students were given placement training right from the second year (4 semesters) and were given serious training from the 6th semester. Generally, for our department core companies like jsw and Sanmar, Emerson are the companies that conduct campus hiring. The high package includes jsw with an annual package of 9 lakhs. The average package is around 4lpa. The students are also helped with their higher studies abroad. The placement team is working to bring in several companies. The students are also helped in their entrepreneurship ventures. Generally, every student will get placed in either core or it.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since I am a student who has availed the scholarship offered by the college management itself. I can provide you with the knowledge. The students with a cutoff percentage of more than 190( approx) are provided with a full tuition fee waiver and can avail of either transport or hostel free of cost. Those who have cut off more than 180 (approx) are waived with tuition fee alone. The students must apply through TNEA Counseling to avail of it. Then some third-party scholarships are also helped by the college itself. In order to maintain the scholarship one should maintain a cgpa of 7 and above. Generally, chemical students are collected a fee of 90k annually. The transport fees lie around 40-50k. The hostel fee also lies around 70- 120k based on the type of room they opt for. The food is average. The transport facility is really good for a smooth ride. The college also offers good campus placement for both it and non-students

Campus Life

4.5

This is definitely one of the engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu to have the flexi learn system. The students can design their timetable for the semester and select their own faculties. The dress code is also kind not strict. The campus is definitely a good place to chill with a lot of places to roam around. It has SAIL library the aesthetic one. One of the canteens is Ac equipped. Other canteens have food at affordable prices. The stone bench is the trademark area of the college. You can avail of ground facilities any time. The national symposium with technical events is conducted every year during the odd semester in the months of September and October. Cultural events are conducted in the even semester. Pongal Fest, Onam Fest and so on are celebrated every year in a grand manner with DJ and lots of fun. The college also has several clubs to encourage students in the technical field. It has a fully equipped pt room.

Admission

I joined the college through TNEA Counseling. I have approached the college early regarding the admission. Due to the high cutoff, I have been offered a college scholarship of tuition fee waiver. This option has now been availed for any incoming student through TNEA Counseling. Tuition fee waiver for students with a cutoff of more than 195/185. The admission process is quite good with an easy flow. I'll suggest you guys come early for early departure. The application form needs to be filled in on the official college website. It will give you a reference number of 8 digits which is useful at college in your initial days. The admission is carried out by individuals assigned to each student. They will take care of your documents and so on.
