Likes
- Infrastructure of college is too beautiful. The campus is small but building is large. It's full of air conditioners and beautifully furnished, designed and decorated all over. Fests conducted are so good.
- The Library is so beautiful and well maintained. The rules of library is strict and is appreciable.
- Faculties are good. The teachers and even gaurds are so good and cooperative in every way.
Dislikes
- Campusing of my faculty i.e, journalism and mass communication is not so well which is not mentioned on internet.
- Sometimes gaurds don't allow to enter the college without ID card. But they definitely allow those whom they recognise.
- The college fees is too high which sometimes become unacceptable.
Course Curriculum Overview
Journalism and Mass Communication is a very interesting and mordern subject. It has a lot of scope in coming time. Careers can be as JOURNALIST, RJ, CONTENT WRITER, EDITOR, PHOTOGRAPHER, CINEMATOGRAPHER, EVENT MANAGER, TRANSLATOR, REPORTER, NEWS READER, RECEPTIONIST, HR, RECRUITER, ENTREPRENEUR etc. Our faculty members are friendly and cooperative. They help us in every way they can. They make us time always and never give us any fix time to call them. Our department consists of maximum female students and there are only few male students. Our maximum teachers are preparing for PHD and few are already doctorate. They teach us very well and clear our doubts in every way then can. They even take us for field works. We visited Akashbani Bhavan of Kolkata. Teachers conduct CIA, Class Internal Assessment which are from those topics they teach us. They even take class tests after the completion of any topics.
Internships Opportunities
TCS is a huge company for which trainings are also provided by the college. They definitely take fees for the application but that is definitely for one time. Bajaj also hires accordingly. Many other companies also come for hiring and people gets hired.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees of Journalism and Mass Communication is 40,000 (approx) per semester. This includes all the college facilities. College itself provide scholarships for students who scored 90% , 80% in 12th exams. Also they give us information about other state or central scholarships (if any). Campusing is very well for the students of BCOM. College provide internships in many companies from 3rd semester.
Campus Life
Our college conduct a lots fests and very famous in Kolkata for its fests. All the fests are very grand. People from outside college also visit in our college fests. Library of BESC is very beautiful. It consists of a lot of JMC books but maximum selves are full of commerce books. Classrooms are clean and having air conditioners all over. We have a Sports Arena and a basket ball turf. Basket ball is played in competition as inter-college. There are a lot of extra curricular groups and social groups. NCC, NSS camps are conducted. Dance, singing, drama, are also done efficiently.
Admission
Eligibility for the course is 60%. The application details are given in the official website of The Bhawanipur Education Society College. The admission was based on merit. Admission process is quite good. College office works very efficiently.
