Remarks

The college is well located in city center. Major drawback is that it's girl's only college. The college campus is really poor and the buildings too old.

Entrance Preview

No entrance exam required. Only having passed 2nd PU or 12th grade is the minimum requirement to get a seat in this college. This a government aided girl's degree college.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The syllabus of the college is affiliated to Mysore University. The college offer only science courses i.e., Bachelor of Science. The college offers many different branches in B.Sc.

Internships Opportunities

The college doesn't has much of contact with reputed companies. So internship expectation will surely not be fulfilled by this degree college. No chance for internships here.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placements aren't so well here after degree. I don't think you must opt for placements after finishing you degree. Try to do a PG course or any other professional course after completing your degree.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Since its a government aided college, the fee is very cheap and affordable. Being in a minority category will reduce your fee still lower. i paid 23,000 as per year fee in the college.

Faculty

4.5

Few experienced and few unexperienced. No matter of their experience level, they always do their best in delivering the subject to the students. The lab teaching faculty is really interactive and does great.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Semester 4, my course included the concepts of Radioactivity which has been a fascinating topic for me, and wanting to learn that aspect pf chemistry was a reason that lead me to choose this course. the curriculum is not sufficient or up to date for current further academic pursuits. the course curriculum should include more scientific instruments commonly used in labs and the teachers could preferably be more positive with their attitude and create an atmosphere where learning is chased. where the teaching doesn't feel like they're just doing their job and finishing their hours by reading ppts off a laptop. the exams themselves are fair and well prepared. perfectly balanced to score based on how much you've learnt.

Indian Institute of Science - [IISc], Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] (Mathematics)
Reviewed on Mar 5, 2025(Enrolled 2019)

Course Curriculum Overview:

There wasn't really any. It was mostly the friendliness of the profs that pulled me into maths. Do note that in IISc, the first three semesters are common and you pick majors after that. The maths curriculum prepares you for a future in either industry or academia. Moreover, one can take courses in other departments to help their industry pursuits. Only way would be to make some courses more interactive, but this hasn't been a problem for me personally. Most high level courses have two exams. Sometimes not even that. And exams generally aren't difficult for someone who has kept up with the course.

from 6th semister onwards students are eligible for pkacements. I dont know about the companies of placements as iam a fresher here. The placements here are really good in this course. After Msc forensic science the annual package in an average here is 2-5 lakhs. Almost 80% of forensic students get placement here. As iam pursuing my bachelors here, iam thinking of writing the entrance exam for NFSU gujarath for my Masters.

Placement Experience:

Our university has a training and placement office for the fourth and fifth year students. Before that you need to find internship opportunities yourself. The significant companies include EY, MoSpi, RBI, NSE etc. The is around 50% placements. The highest package was around 40 lakhs and the lowest 5 lakhs. I plan on working in the RBI after my degree.
