Compus infrastructure of NIT hamirpur is good . LIbrary is well equipped with ac and heaters .
social life is love the most .students spend good time here.
clubs are one of the best of this college.

Dislikes

sometimes mess food of hostel is bad and students don't like it
Hostels lacks cleaness as well as water problem is big issue.
Assignment are one of the useless thing i found.

The course curriculum is quite good of mathematics and computing. Most of the subjects are relavant for tech field. It mainly consists mathematics which are required in data science field as well as computer science subject.Faculty is also well qualified and trained.

Internships Opportunities

Students got internship opportunity at nit hamirpur. after 2nd year student can crack on campus internship . Students got a decent stipend from the companies as it is well reputed college.Even Gsoc is cleared by many students .

Placement record of NIT hamirpur is quite good. Students got the opportunity of on campus placement.Big tech companies visit in the compus and hire students. Students got decent packages here. Even student cracked off compus placements and got packages in crores.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee structure of NITH is similar to other nits. Students having family income less than 1 lakh have 0 tution fee. Student having family income between 1lakh to 5 lakh have 2/3 % fee wavier.Compus job opportunity is missing here as it is not in any city.And student loan easily avail here.

Campus Life

THE compus of NITH is one of the most beautiful compus.The compus life is very joyful. There are so many clubs in the nit hamirpur .There are technical clubs as well as technical socities as well as culture club like bhangra , hindi simiti and many more. Infrastructure is also very good .

Hostel Facilities

there are different hostels for each year student. Mainly 1st three years hostel are either 3 or 4 seater and in final year we allot single rooms. Mess food is ok ok . Hostel rooms are alotted on the basis of your cgpi till last semester.

Hostel Fee: INR 25000 per year

Admission

the admission process for the college was that first i write joint enterance exam (jee mains) and after declaration of the result i registered for the josaa counselling where i filled my choices of colleges as well as engineering branches. at each round of counselling i got a seat in josaa and at last i freeze mathematics and computing of nit hamirpur.

Lack of auditoriium so most of gathering will be in open air theatre

The campus really respects diversity. Students from different states and countries study together and that inclusion makes a big difference
The infrastructure and fab faculties are unmatched, for people dedicated to carrying out research, they have almost everything atvtheir disposal
Extra curricular activities make sure one is involved in multiple volunteery things rather than just academics

Dislikes

Relevant placement opportunities with good packages can be improved
The fee for courses could be regularised
Mode of exam conduction should be completely offline to ensure transparency

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for placements in last semester. They can choose to sit in placements and select if they would like to join the company theyve been selected for. Eligible candidates do end up getting great packages

campus placement is good to moderate means is great avg package is 600000 as of my b.tech cse. yes for eligible for campus by 75% attendance , have to not a backlog in any sem need to pass each semester .

Campus is very good and nice view from college
Faculty is polite and very helpful and kind

Very less internship and placement option
Very slow wifi speen and only 1 gb per day

Course Curriculum Overview:

Updated to align with NEP-2020 guidelines starting from 2023 onward. CSE (AI & DS) branch includes modern subjects like Data Science, Machine Learning, Python, Cloud basics. Core branches (ECE, ME, EE, CE) follow standard Indian engineering frameworks with essential subjects. Syllabus similar to other govt engineering colleges under HP Tech University, so fairly up to date.

the fee structure are affordable for any one and hostel are also very cheap
they also help student to build cinfidence as many event are there so a person can loose his stage fear
the support of teacher for students is very good

Dislikes

i would say that the computer labs are not in very good conditions
the computer are not even advantageouos for aiml student
the infrastructre is not that good even no wifi facility

Placement Experience:

so as the first batch of cse ai ml is going to passout this year so there is no record of placement but hoping that their placement would be good as per teacher's expectations and also they provide intership in iit mandi

The faculty and staff are well qualified appx. all are phd .
The junior senior interaction is good .
There is good coding culture and all senior all helpful .

Dislikes

Area of college is 15 km from una city .
The curriculum us hectic in each semester it has atleast 6 subject.

Placement Experience:

My college offer above good placement . About 85-90% of the eligible student get placed with median package of 9 lakh and average of 11 lakh . Our placement incharge is Nistha Hooda. Highest placement is of 60 lakh and minimum is 4 lakh

Likes

Hostel fees is quite less despite providing many facilities.
Mess food is tasty and campus is small but clean and beautiful.
Curriculum is up-to-date. Teachers are helpful and friendly.

Dislikes

There are many unnecessary restrictions in hostel.
Sometimes you have too wait too long for food in mess.
Less events are organized and sports infrastructure is not too good.

Placement Experience:

Placements are average , it totally depends on the students skills and their cgpa. From 5th sem students become eligible for campus placements. TCS, Infosys, Redhat vistited the campus and made more than 200 offers. 171+ companies visited. Highest package is 1.11cr, average is 6lpa. 70% students gets placed. Planning to go in tech related jobs in industries after getting the degree.

I like the campus, there is greenery all over the campus.
Sports and cultural clubs and the festivals
very good wifi facility in the campus. And good gender ratio in institute

Dislikes

Climate is hot during summer. But winters are appreciable
Mess food is not good that much.. but we can eat.
Sometimes in hostel there is non availability of water . In bathrooms

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it has more scope in India as India is a developing country. It also has government jobs more than other fields. We can shift to it sector this is the flexibility of this course.

Everything about my college

When I was applying for engineering, I had filled applications for a few other NITs and state engineering colleges, but finally I chose NIT Hamirpur because of its good academic reputation, supportive campus environment, and better placement opportunities compared to the others. Some colleges I applied to had very high cutoffs and I couldn’t make it there because my JEE Main score was slightly lower than required, but NIT Hamirpur’s cutoff matched my rank, so I got admission here. The admission process was through JEE Main followed by JoSAA counseling, which is the most common and preferred route for B.Tech aspirants. The eligibility was 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and the cutoff for civil engineering here was comparatively achievable for me. The overall admission process was transparent and smooth, from registering for counseling to final seat allotment. I applied just in government degree college , kullu where I opted bsc but this college is far better than Kullu College in terms of facilities to faculty, as well as ranking , reputation.
