Course Curriculum Overview
I have chosen this course because of my passion for computers and programming and this college was matching my needs very accurately. and also one reason is that this college has good placement stats. There are nearly 6 faculties for 60 students i think this is a good quantity because the quality of these 6 is good enough. Most of the faculties are Ph.D. holders and most of them have good behavior and also very frank with students. there are 2 mid-semester exams and a final year exam along with this practical exam with Viva also one time in a semester. exams are not too tough but they vary according to faculty everything is in-class notes so being attentive in class is enough to score well.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies recruit for internships as well as full-time jobs in the seventh and eighth semesters like Purple with a 40000 -50000 stipend, this year Internships and placements are going on but last year amazon has recruited students for 6 month internship about on the stipend of 80k.
Placement Experience
From the seventh semester college allows students to sit in the placements process and also for on-campus internship. Companies like Amazon, Jio, Purple, Nevada, Yamaha, and many more give offers to many students. last year's highest package was 52 LPA average was around 15 LPA. According to last year, 70 to 80% of students are placed. I will sit in placements and then work for any industry and then I will try for MBA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee of this course is 1.95 lakh per year and 1.5 lakh hostel fee per year so it would be around 3.5 lakh per year, so course is for 4 years so the total cost to study will be 14 lakh it would vary in the future. There are scholarship from governments but from college, there is not any scholarship, On-campus job stats are very good it would be around an average of 15 lakh per annum, for more accurate you can refer to the official website.
Campus Life
we have agnito named annual fest in which we have mostly all games, coding contests, dance, speeches, debates, online games, and many more things. we do not have our campus now so we do not have the feel of our campus but it's fine and the campus will also be going to be completed soon. the library does not have many books so we can't expect books and journals from the library. Fully AC classrooms, Digital classrooms, seats are comfortable and cleaning of classes is done daily. Many groups are run by students dance and speech club, coding club, gaming club etc.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facilities are not worth it but it's your choice to stay in a hostel or PG, hostels are costly but very nearer to college, and hostel food is medium and the menu for seven days a week is different. when you have been to college admission the college provides contact and a group of hostels from there you can get information about the process. Some PG rooms are just in front of the college's main gate but the quality is not so good and the flats are about 10-12km from the college but have good transportation on this route.
Admission
To get admission to IIIT Sonepat you have to take part in JEE main and you have to get rank in the range of cutoff. After giving JEE main you have to apply for JOSSA/CSAB counseling application fee is not much but if you get a seat then you have to pay 35k (as per 2021 details) for further process. There is a reservation for SC, ST, OBC, and EWS, and also for differently-abled persons. There is no Home state quota.
