obviously, i dont understand why they dont give us good food.
the so many restrictions on girls and generalised opinion about all.
my personal opinion, all students should be encouraged to do extra activities not just the favoured ones chosen.

Course Curriculum Overview

One important thing to mention is that the course curriculum is really good. I decided to take this course because I love Literature and to be honest the theories. All faculty members are big degree holders but the teaching method I would say is a subjective matter. Yes, absolutely everything was held on time. The exams are held semester-wise including internals.

Internships Opportunities

The thing with internships here is that you have to find one on your own. and it is a part of the MA course. It's all on you if you manage to find a paid internship. And being from the humanities field, I cannot say about the situation in the whole of the university.

Fees and Financial Aid

The annual fee is 8000. The Fees structure is affordable for likely everyone. No or very little hike has been seen in fees. Scholarships are also provided from time to time; there are written tests sometimes for that or else it is given on financial grounds.

Campus Life

Yes, the annual fests are organized. AMU boasts one of the biggest libraries in Asia. the classrooms are all smart classrooms. There is no club life. there are too many other ways to enjoy your campus life. Sports and other extracurricular activities are there.

Hostel Facilities

one single bed for each, a fan, bulb holders, and two sockets for a room of 5. The cupboards obviously you have to share. meal, if you have an easy appetite, you are most welcome. The registration process is done when you fill out the form. hostel fees are considerably economical.

Admission

When I applied for the bachelor's program, I went to a cafe and got my form filled up by the person at the cafe. But the form for the master's program, I filled it myself from home. One can do it easily from a laptop or a PC. There is an entrance exam for each course. At the undergraduate level, the faculties based that means I gave the common entrance for BA Arts. But at the Master's level, it gets subject-specific. And cut-off varies each year but the average you can keep it at 75 to 85. I didn't avail of any reservation benefits but it is also available for the candidates. About where to get the form, just simply keep the track of university's official website everything is really handy and super easy now.

The faculty members are very supportive, highly experienced, and always ready to help students with their queries.
The course fee is extremely affordable and provides great value for money for students in this region.
The campus has a peaceful learning environment with a good gender ratio of around 1:1 for boys and girls.

Dislikes

On-campus placement opportunities are limited, and students mostly need to look for off-campus jobs.
Campus infrastructure needs modernization, including better Wi-Fi access and updated lab equipment.
More practical exposure and industry-oriented training programs should be added to the curriculum.

I chose this course because it covers all essential topics required for higher studies. The curriculum is detailed and helps build strong subject basics. Teaching methods are traditional, so adding more interactive sessions and skill-based learning would be a great improvement. Exams take place every semester along with internal class tests, which helps in continuous evaluation without extra stress

A Balanced Review of My College Journey

Likes

Placement Experience:

Placements in our College are decent. Students become eligible from the 5th/6th semester, and companies from media, PR, and digital marketing fields visit for recruitment. The placement cell also provides training, internships, and guidance. After graduation, I plan to explore both campus and off-campus opportunities in media and communication fields.

Likes

The faculty of the college is very supportive and understanding
The campus is also very nice you can easily find your comfort in that campus
Classrooms have unique facilities with smart board in every class and every class room is air conditioned

Dislikes

The first thing I don't like is the college food from canteen because it doesn't not have many options
The second thing I don't like is the sports facilities in the college because there are not every sports available specially football is not available
The third i don't like when the mobile network doesn't come in the college and we face a lot of problems for this

Let me talk about the placement of this college the placements and internship facilities of this college are very good for every student who are studying in this college the famous companies such as AVP news ,Aaj Tak , the truth 24 and various news channel comes for placement and internships almost each student gets placed

Likes

I liked the safe enviornment of the college
All the teachers are very supportive and helpful
The concepts are easily understood by the students

Dislikes

The variety of the food can be more but its not so
There are many activities which can be restricted
No fixed timing od dispersal sometimes you have to be extra time

The fees is affordable in comparison to Delhi University.
The scholarship scheme is definitely helpful for those who are economically weak.
The main campus has a central library so its quite helpful

Dislikes

The books in the central library are quite outdated
The lack of infrastructure in the affiliated colleges of AU
No merit based scholarship scheme available for the students.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I'm from humanities background so the course is quite relevant for me. The course is quite outdated however it's the same for most of the universities. the curriculum should be aligned with the competitive exams and the teaching methods should be more inclusive about the competitive exams so that the student can prepare well not only for the present course but also further upcoming exams.

A Glimpse of Life in Aligarh Muslim University

I chose this college mainly because of the less fees structure and the greenary campus , a good place to study.Moreover, I'm preparing for govt exams also, so the time needed during M.tech. is enough to focus on exams too. Also, I don't want any gap between the study and job as we have to justify later during interview (the year gaps , if any). I applied for this college only. Highly affordable fee of course and hostel fee. Hostel provides us so many facilities in a very basic pay of 1500 per month including mess and other things. For m.ed we have to prepare for an entrance test. Forms of amu m.ed are generally out during january- march period. The paper is of 100 marks, only mcq, based on core papers of b.ed. the cutoff is around 55+ for general+external candidate and 40+ for internal. The admission process is smooth and easy.
