KIIT & its Pros & Cons

The course curriculum is bit unique , as they teach you c programming a bit in any one semester of 1st year . Then from 2nd year your main Cse course starts . The course faculty is good here , except the chemistry department (my experience). You are also provided with a personal mentor regarding your issues in college + during emergency leave . A class has 2 mentors , 1 for 1st 40 students and the 2nd for the 2nd 40 students. Every class is well maintained as the class is full ac conditioned + every class has 2 boards i.e, 1 smartboard and 1 white board. The seating arrangement is also good with spacious desks . The faculty here is very high educated and well trained to there respective course and having a good training experience. In a semester there would be 2 exams i.e, 1 mid sem and 1 end sem . The cutoff for passing is 40/100 which is nominal, very few students get back , but yes you have to focus on chemistry and physics more in 1st year as compared to other subjects .

Internship opportunities here is nice, as they have a company named high radius in the campus itself which pick students for internship based on their results . You will get here both , paid internship and non paid internship.

Campus placements here is above average form cse & it branches having 9lpa and average for other branches. From 7th semester students become eligible here for campus placements. Some top companies visit here like Amazon , Tcs , Infosysis , High Radius & Yugabyte . Highest package here is 63lpa given by Yugabyte which is giving highest package every year from 2020. Kiit claims 100% placement.

Fees structure is like 198k per sem for cse & it , and 175k per sem for other btech courses . Hostel costs varies according to your room combination and 45k per year for mess food . And also 15k hostel admission fees only one time for 4 years. The fees is a slight high but what can you expect from a private college . There is a scholarship of rs 10k per sem for those students who get below 1000 rank in KIITEE exam . In 3rd year if you do well , you can bag a scholarship easily here. For campus placements you need to have a cgpa of 7.5+ .

In terms of infrastructure, kiit is one of the best colleges in india as it has a very greeny & vast campus . It has its own indoor stadium and cricket stadium as well as many grounds for every sports . You get many programs and functions here at regular intervals or every month you can say . There is a central library here where you can get any book . You will be provided books from the college itself for the course year wise. There are many social activities that are runned here by the students . Sports facilities is one of the best thing here in kiit. It has spreaded it sports hand in every field and provides facilities.

Hostel facility varies here hostel per hostel . In 1st year you will get KP7 hostel which consists of 5 block starting from AB , then C , D , E and F ( These are all hostels ) . The rooms here are well furnished and nice compared to other colleges. The quality of mess is above average and the menu is nice and obviously changes day by day. For hostel registration, you have to register it ij the site when you will get an email regarding that .

First of all you have to fill the entrance exam of KIIT named ' KIITEE ' which you will get in the Kiit website . The form is free of cost .The form filling process is as like you fill any form for any competitive exam . During our time (2023) batch , Kiit took 3 phases of KIITEE exam . Those students who attempted for Phase 1 or Phase 2 can't attempt for Phase 3, Phase 3 was for newly students . Anyone Can give both the starting phases ( 1 & 2 ). After around 1 month of the exam you will be provided the results , based on which you can apply for the counseling process which will be notified by your given email address. In councelling make sure you choose your main preference in top serial wise, as it scans from top . After you are provided with a course through councelling, you will get a message regarding payment of 75k fees , 10k for counseling and 65k for laptop which they will provide + other items . Then you will get the allotment letter and then reporting date to college.
