Likes

It has a good campus life and one can explore different opportunities.
Faculties are decent and one can grow his personality here properly.
It has nice sport facilities and one can exploit it if he wants

Dislikes

As a first year student, you are not able to participate in most of the fest.
There is too much strictness regarding entry timings in night.
There are too many students in a batch. So sometimes it feels depressing.

Course Curriculum Overview

I wanted to pursue a course in B.Tech with CSE but I didn't get it in any NIT. So, I opted for this course. There is a decent student-faculty ratio here. Most of the faculty have done PhD in their subjects and their teaching method is good. There are two exams in a semester. The difficulty level is decent and if a student doesn't study, it's hard to pass.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 386000 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are many companies like Highradius, tcs, etc. that offer internship opportunities. As a first-year student, I can't tell you so many things about internships as internship opportunities are available after 4th semester.

Placement Experience

From 6th semester onwards students are eligible to get placed. Almost 300 companies visit the campus and 3500-5000 placement offers are made. Last year's highest was 63 lakh and the average was 7 lakh and 80-90 percent of students got placed. I want placement after the degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are the same for 4 years. It takes almost 20 lakhs to complete the b.tech course. There are some scholarships given by institutions but it's limited. There are marital scholarships for topper students and some scholarships for poor students.

Campus Life

Campus life is nice. There are fests almost every month but in most of them, first-year students are not allowed. There are fests like MUN, annual fest, MasterChef fest, tech fest, etc. It has got a top-notch central library with most of the books in it and it is also for football. The classroom is also nice, fully ac, and has a smartboard. There are great opportunities in the sports sector too. It has facilities for most of the sports. There are some social groups.

Hostel Facilities

One can choose what type of room one wants in the hostel and price is according to it. There are 3 beded non-ac, 2 beded non-ac, 3 beded ac, 2 beded ac. Meal quality of the mess is good and menu is also good. Registration process is easy as there will be a form sent on mail from the college for hostel option amd 3 beded non-ac is most affordable. One can rent room in patia.

Hostel Fee: INR 28500 per year

Admission

I was admitted based on KITEEE. It also takes admission based on JEE Mains. We can find the form on its official website kiit.ac.in. There is no application fee and also there is no reservation. The admission process is good.

Faculties are very helpful they provide notes everyday what they teach
College students are friendly and affordable
They give many fests and cultural events

Dislikes

They discriminate between girls and boys always
Discriminate between locals and others mainly if you are from Bihar
Many fights between odia and bihari every year

The curriculum is now updated since it became a University, so its more relevant to industry now but still we have to do extra courses for coding. Exams happen every few months—2 internals and one end-sem. They are not very easy, you actually need to study to pass without backlogs

Likes

The infrastructure of each campus in the college is very pretty and it's a green campus
The classrooms are well equipped with WiFi, Smart-boards for digital education.
Also travelling from one campus to another has been made easier as buses and golf carts are provided to students

Dislikes

The crowd of students here is too much which feels too much chaotic and disturbing .
The hostel management here as they don't give importance to the major issues here.
The hostel mess food. The quality is degrading day by day

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college is good. This year 75% of the students are already placed with an average package of 8LPA . The highest package till now for this year is 22LPA. Many companies have visited for the placements and 100+ offers have been made. Companies like BNY, Infosys, Deloitte, Accenture, Capgemini, Cognizant, Bain& Company, High Radius, TCS, EY, PWC and many more of them have visited the campus.

The college campus greenery and campus cleaning management are doing really very well that is the only good part but that doesn't matter much for your career.
⭐⭐There is nothing good to mention about this college after going through all the procedures from taking admission to degree,I regret and many of my friends also regretting taking admission into this college.⭐⭐

Dislikes

They have a good well maintained cricket ground but students are never allowed there only for commercial purposes and to attract new joinee.
Staff and management are very helpful and polite only till admission done.🥲.
Hostel food quality is extremely unhigenic, no one takes responsibility after many complaints also.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum was very classical , too much theory oriented for placement point of view they will provide last 1 month or 2 months training for aptitude part rest for technical you have to study on your own.

Likes

Beautiful campus with lot's of space and with good computer labs
They conduct exam in very smoothly manner

Dislikes

Need to improve administrative building while submitting fees many students face problem
Lab session of some subjects are too long which is around 3 hrs which need to reduce for atleast 2 hrs

Placement Experience:

Placement opportunities in my college are good, with students generally becoming eligible for campus placements from the pre-final or final year, depending on the course and company criteria. The college has an active placement celll that supports students by Organizing training sessions, resume building and also mock interviews.

College hostel life

Likes

I like enhance my knowledge in computer and technology. I like to learn new ideas in google sheet and AI.
I like hiking and campaign in forest and mountain. And to go in long drive on bike.
Exploring new things which I don't know finding reason on natural phenomenon.

Dislikes

I dislike to follow people blindly. And doing as same
I dislike to worship god visit temple and any regional place.
I dislike to stay at home on vacation or holiday

Placement Experience:

After completion of 6 th semester candidates are eligible for campus selection. The highest you get around 20Lac per annum and minimum 5 Lac per annum. Around 30 % student get placed each year. Posco, sas motors, jindal, are coming company

My college is best

Likes

Things I like is to good faculty, garden.
VSSUT provides the best amenities and bathrooms.
Excluding hostel & other facilities are like good.

Dislikes

The water quality is not good at all from mess side.
The drainage system is not maintained well.
The surroundings are not clean and the guarda are strict.

Placement Experience:

Some say that the celllege has better placements, but that the salary is not very lucrative. Infosys, Tata Steel, IBM, Wipro, Cisco Systems, Larsen and Cognizant, Maruti Suzuki, Adani Group. My plans are to go to better iim for mba

Likes

The professor who taught in our class they are taught is best In teaching.
They provide you many opportunities to work upon on you.
The infrastructure of college is good and huge.

Dislikes

The campus is very vast, and you have to walk for every minute of work.
The are very serious about your study and what you are doing
The gate get closed if you get came late even it's 5-10 minute late.

Placement Experience:

It's good as many company come but the placement directly depend on your study and hard work of your 4 year and a pre placement also conduct in 3rd year where you can also get placed. For placement the student should secure 8-10 cgpa for sit in interview exam.

KIIT Overview And The Reality

1.Like i did not apply so many colleges but i got selected in my state government college in it branch but i did not go there becuase there not so many companies comes for placement and internship and there not a much opportunity 2. REVIEW OF KIIT FROM A SECOND YEAR STUDENT

Apart from KIIT I also applied for PES university, VIT. I got confirmed admission in CSE branch of these colleges but these colleges are far away from my home. So distance is one of the main factors for not choosing other colleges instead of KIIT. For taking admission in KIIT one has to appear in the KIITEE examination which is conducted in CBT mode. After the exam result will be declared within a month. Then one has to sit for counselling for choosing the branch of their choice. The cutoff score is different for all the three phases. For example in 2023, a student securing 15 percentile in KIITEE got CSE core branch but in the second phase the cutoff for CSE core raised to 75 percentile....Read More
