Likes

There are a lot of extra curricular activities that you can participate in
College a provides support for anything related to technology if you are interested
Campus is huge and green and has a lot of spots to talk

Dislikes

The exam pressure is too much and it is very hard to stay in track.
For a very famous college like VIT the hostel rooms are not up to the mark
Teachers with PhD don't know how to teach

I chose this course because I want to. There are 70 students in a class. Most fcaulties read off from the ppt, there are very few who are very passionate about the subject they teach. Teachers are PHD qualified. Exams are tough and are there almost every month

Internships Opportunities

I am in 3rd year and now they have been asking companies to send internship opportunities for us now super dream internships are going on stipend is around 50000 to 1 lakh. But in order to get those offers you have to be very much qualified

Placement Experience

Students become eligible for placements in the beginning of 4th year. Some people get internships in the third year which usually helps them to get placed soon.a lot of famous companies such as Amazon Google Microsoft come to the campus for placements. Highest package is around 1 crore that's what I heard so far but then they are divided into dream super dream

Fees and Financial Aid

You get scholarships from the college if your rank was between 1-1000. Other people have to pay full amount. Also there are categories for fees. First cat pays 2L, 2nd cat pays 3L etc.totally there are 5 categories

Campus Life

There are 2 fests mainly.technovit takes place in September/october and vibrance takes place in the month of March. Wide variety of books are available in the library and classrooms are adequate for studying. There are a lot of clubs and activities hosted by students which are helpful to develop your extra curricular activities

Hostel Facilities

For girls there are three types of rooms there is two bed three bed and 4 bed which comes in AC and non AC options. The selection is done through hostel allotment which is based on your hostel rank. The mess is quite good which comes in veg and non veg options. Non AC options are affordable but easy options may not be affordable to everyone

Hostel Fee: INR 100000 per year

Admission

You have to write VITEEE to get in.Application forms are given in the college website.They don't give your marks after the exam which causes confusion in the predicted rank. There is a possibility for the ranking system to be rigged

Overall Good Experience at EEC

Likes

good infrastructure, clean campus and well equipped classrooms and labs.
Faculty members are supportive and explain concepts clearly with practical examples.
Good placement opportunities, career guidance and opportunities to participate in activities.

Dislikes

The workload can be huge sometimes, especially during examinations and project submissions.
some subjects could include more practical and industry-oriented learning
More campus activities and student interactions opportunities would improve campus life.

Placement Experience:

Students can join job drives from the 7th term. Many firms visit the campus for jobs and offer roles in tech and other fields. The pay varies by firm and role. EEC has a good job rate and gives help for job prep. After my degree, I plan to work in the tech field and grow my skills.

An average of more than 90% of rhe students were placed during my term. Companies like amazon, juspay, adobe, hcl, cts, tcs, adp etc came and there are 500 companies that visisted our campus during my batch

Experienced faculties, their constant encouragement to students to participate in seminars, lectures, internships, intercollegiate programs and other research based conferences and activities.
The college had good infrastructure, modern laboratories, smart classrooms, sports facilities and a slate clean campus.
The placement cell, incubation cell, and intellectual property cell of our college are easily approachable and they help in developing our ideas, patenting and registering them.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum covers important subjects such as cell biology, microbiology, biochemistry, genetics, immunology, bio processing, principles of chemical engineering, and wr have hands on practice through pur well-equipped laboratory sessions.

This is the best college overall

Likes

The curriculum provided is really nice and understandable.
It is relevant and is effective as well.
The boy girl ratio is on the other hand a little less as in 45:15.

Dislikes

The way some facilities behave with students is really bad especially in our branch.
Some facilities are too rude and they often don’t want to listen to students point of view

Placement Experience:

Students are open to campus placements from 2nd year onwards. There are many companies who visit such as Delloite, Accenture, Cognizant, TCS, Amazon, NatWest, Nokia, etc. Highest package offered is 42 lpa and lowest is maybe 2-4lpa. Around 90% of students get placed here. My plans is to get a job through campus recruitment. Currently I got an internship through campus recruitment in Cognizant so the recruitment is quite nice here.

Placement Training and Career development at CIT

In my college , I experienced diversed equality and gained more knowledge by training staffs and assessments

Placement Experience:

One thing I really need to appreciate at CIT is its placement training program. The placement team conducts regular sessions on 1. aptitude 2. coding 3. communication skills 4. group discussions and 5. interview preparation which helped me feel more confident during placements. The trainers were friendly and always encouraged us to improve our skills step by step. They provide continuous guidance and feedback throughout the training process. Mock interviews and one to one assessments helped me to understand my strength and weak areas and I work on improvements . These sessions not only improved my technical and communication skills but also boosted my confidence . The placement training team played an important role in preparing me for career opportunities and industry expectation

Likes

The thing I most liked is the campus the infrastructue
There are a many clubs so it's exciting for people who like other things then studies
The opportunities as well the alumini network

Dislikes

The campus is very crowded there are many people compared to other colleges
The category wise fee structure and the increasing fees
Charges for hostel are little more then others

Placement Experience:

As of my information the placements are pretty decent..first the placements used to take place in Vellore campus but I guess jow they have started here as well ..as of my opinion the placement stars from the 7th semester

My insights on Vit Chennai

I applied for very less college.since my cut off was low the possibility of me getting any Anna university affiliated colleges were less. So i wrote entrance exam for Amrita University and Vit. I did get Amrita but felt Vit had better exposure. They were lot of reasons as to why I chose this college. Of most the colleges I searched this had mechanical with specialisation courses. Doing a minor in something will make me a step ahead of every other mechanical engineer. I also compared the curriculum with many institutions,this was far by the best with perfect exposure. They have variety of other non graded courses to help me focus on my hobbies and interest. Their tie ups with many foreign institutions and industries will be an advantage for me if I use it in the right way. Again the only way of getting into Vit is through their entrance exam VITEEE. Since my cut off was low I had to rely on these entrance exams.
