The classrooms here are good with a projector
The college looks like a tourist place and nothing less than heaven
There are many places to travel outside college

Dislikes

Mess may be a problem for South Indian students
Drug addiction is somewhat high here in my college

Course Curriculum Overview

I am interested in app development so I chose the computer science and engineering branch in nit Hamirpur. Not all the teachers are kind every semester has 1 mid sem happens after two months of course. faculty ratio1:10

Internships Opportunities

Almost all of the top companies in the world come here to our college for placements. 3rd year students are eligible to do internships on campus and more than 50% of students get an internship in this period

Placement Experience

In my branch which is Computer science and Engineering the average placement is 18 lakh per annum and the highest package of 1.73cr per annum and a lowest package of 6 lakh per annum and more than 123 out of 126 students placed in the year 2023. talking about overall placement the average package is 6lpa and more than 80% of students placed

Fees and Financial Aid

Sc, ST, and PWD students have a number of scholarships, one of the main ones is NSP in which they get more than 100000 per year as a scholarship and for Ews and general students with income less than 3lakh also have scholarships namely FFE and general student with more than 5lakhs has very few scholarships

Campus Life

There will be 2 fests a year in my college, a technical fest and a cultural fest. the name of one of the fests is Hillffair it takes place in October. there is a big library and books can easily borrowed, talking about sports there is a cricket, football ground and all other Indore games

Hostel Facilities

The hostel here in my college is good compared to all other NIT/IIT ,they provide a chair,table, and a bed .talking about the mess food it may be difficult for South Indian students to adjust because there is no seperate mess for South Indians , registration process for hostel is simple and affordable for almost every student

Hostel Fee: INR 40000 per year

Admission

We should write the jee mains exam to apply for my college that is Nit Hamirpur every student must qualify Jee Mains exam in their respective categories. We can find the application form for her mains exam on the NTA official website

Interview Experience

a student must write and qualify JEE mains examination conducted by NTA ,not only to qualify but should get a good rank to enter this prestigious college ,there will be no interview or group discussion for entry . I prepared from coaching in Hyderabad,name of the coaching centre in NARAYANA

Infrastructure and quality of education and supportive professor for building our success career

Lack of auditoriium so most of gathering will be in open air theatre

The campus really respects diversity. Students from different states and countries study together and that inclusion makes a big difference
The infrastructure and fab faculties are unmatched, for people dedicated to carrying out research, they have almost everything atvtheir disposal
Extra curricular activities make sure one is involved in multiple volunteery things rather than just academics

Dislikes

Relevant placement opportunities with good packages can be improved
The fee for courses could be regularised
Mode of exam conduction should be completely offline to ensure transparency

Students become eligible for placements in last semester. They can choose to sit in placements and select if they would like to join the company theyve been selected for. Eligible candidates do end up getting great packages

Campus is very good and nice view from college
Faculty is polite and very helpful and kind

Very less internship and placement option
Very slow wifi speen and only 1 gb per day

Course Curriculum Overview:

Updated to align with NEP-2020 guidelines starting from 2023 onward. CSE (AI & DS) branch includes modern subjects like Data Science, Machine Learning, Python, Cloud basics. Core branches (ECE, ME, EE, CE) follow standard Indian engineering frameworks with essential subjects. Syllabus similar to other govt engineering colleges under HP Tech University, so fairly up to date.

the fee structure are affordable for any one and hostel are also very cheap
they also help student to build cinfidence as many event are there so a person can loose his stage fear
the support of teacher for students is very good

Dislikes

i would say that the computer labs are not in very good conditions
the computer are not even advantageouos for aiml student
the infrastructre is not that good even no wifi facility

Placement Experience:

so as the first batch of cse ai ml is going to passout this year so there is no record of placement but hoping that their placement would be good as per teacher's expectations and also they provide intership in iit mandi

The faculty and staff are well qualified appx. all are phd .
The junior senior interaction is good .
There is good coding culture and all senior all helpful .

Dislikes

Area of college is 15 km from una city .
The curriculum us hectic in each semester it has atleast 6 subject.

My college offer above good placement . About 85-90% of the eligible student get placed with median package of 9 lakh and average of 11 lakh . Our placement incharge is Nistha Hooda. Highest placement is of 60 lakh and minimum is 4 lakh

Likes

Hostel fees is quite less despite providing many facilities.
Mess food is tasty and campus is small but clean and beautiful.
Curriculum is up-to-date. Teachers are helpful and friendly.

Dislikes

There are many unnecessary restrictions in hostel.
Sometimes you have too wait too long for food in mess.
Less events are organized and sports infrastructure is not too good.

Placement Experience:

Placements are average , it totally depends on the students skills and their cgpa. From 5th sem students become eligible for campus placements. TCS, Infosys, Redhat vistited the campus and made more than 200 offers. 171+ companies visited. Highest package is 1.11cr, average is 6lpa. 70% students gets placed. Planning to go in tech related jobs in industries after getting the degree.

I like the campus, there is greenery all over the campus.
Sports and cultural clubs and the festivals
very good wifi facility in the campus. And good gender ratio in institute

Dislikes

Climate is hot during summer. But winters are appreciable
Mess food is not good that much.. but we can eat.
Sometimes in hostel there is non availability of water . In bathrooms

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because it has more scope in India as India is a developing country. It also has government jobs more than other fields. We can shift to it sector this is the flexibility of this course.

Everything about my college

When I was applying for engineering, I had filled applications for a few other NITs and state engineering colleges, but finally I chose NIT Hamirpur because of its good academic reputation, supportive campus environment, and better placement opportunities compared to the others. Some colleges I applied to had very high cutoffs and I couldn’t make it there because my JEE Main score was slightly lower than required, but NIT Hamirpur’s cutoff matched my rank, so I got admission here. The admission process was through JEE Main followed by JoSAA counseling, which is the most common and preferred route for B.Tech aspirants. The eligibility was 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, and the cutoff for civil engineering here was comparatively achievable for me. The overall admission process was transparent and smooth, from registering for counseling to final seat allotment. I applied just in government degree college , kullu where I opted bsc but this college is far better than Kullu College in terms of facilities to faculty, as well as ranking , reputation.
