What Students Say
Likes
- The environment and campus life which gave a lively yet relaxed vibe
- The departmental library, I always go there to study and it's open 24/7
- The variety of social clubs and societies available, due to which I could join the esteemed KIIT Robotics Society.
Dislikes
- The student count is a too much, the college intake is increasing each year and that increases competition for placement which is a problem.
- The management can sometimes do weird decisions at the end, such as changing the exam pattern. Not very often though.
- The college's website portal leaves much to desired, and with essential things such as booking for exams done through it, it is an infuriating experience to browse the site.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose CSE as a major because I'm interested in it from childhood. The exams are timely and fair, with the faculty to student ratio being very fair; the teachers are very well qualified, with masters and bachelor's in their respective fields, and the teaching quality is great.
Internships Opportunities
I am in second year so I do not have a lot of ideas about internships, but KIIT starts placement drive from 6th sem itself, and there's even a company High Radius which is in the campus grounds itself. There's variety of internship options available across different roles and the placement team is helpful and tries their best to get us placed in good places, as per my seniors. However, I'm not much aware about the other details such as projects and stipend, although I've heard an average stipend of around 15-20 thousand per month for an internship, which seems pretty good.
Placement Experience
I am in 2nd year so I don't have a lot of idea about placements, but a lot of companies appear in the placement drive such as Goldman Sachs, Byjus, Wipro etc. There are numerous offers made and the placement is 100%. My plan is to work for a few years after getting placed before I do MBA.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fee structure is simple and all details are available on the site itself. If is a little costly as the total money ends up being around 21lakh for an entire course but then again all engineering colleges are that expensive these days. I myself didn't get any scholarship but there are various scholarships available as well as financial assistance for the needy.
Campus Life
Books are always available with the library being open 24/7, and there are various fests conducted from time to time to enrich students. It is a very happening place with lots of opportunities of sports - I myself am taking part in swimming, skating and gym. There are a variety of social clubs the college has, such as KIIT Robotics Society, an exceptional robotics society in which I am also a part of, whose achievements include winning in competitions in top colleges such as IIT Kharagpur, IIT Guwahati, etc and hosting various cultural events in campus such as Liftoff 2022
Hostel Facilities
Hostel is as a normal hostel of any engineering college, however the amenities are decent. The rooms are adequately spaced and facilities are the basic essentials such as washrooms, ACs, washing machines etc. The food is decent as well, a pretty standard hostel affair.
Admission
Entrance exam conducted called KIITEEE, All details will be available of the site including application fees and details. There are no reservations, and the admission process is straightforward with no issues as such.
